3900 miles, and i'm at the wear bars on my second rear. first one only lasted until about 2500 miles, bought the bike with 1400. i want some of the multicompound tires for my next set, these stockers get eaten up WAY too fast.
BS Stock
Mich HPX 3 sets
Dunlop 208's CRAP
1 set Mich 2Ct's
1 Set Dunlop Quailfer's (WON AT BASH) GOOD TIRES..
Back on the Mich 2ct's with a 190/55/17 Very happy with size change.
Almost lost count;rear-2 stock oem Bridgestones, 3 Shinko 003,1 M/T MCR, now running a Metzler DragTech which has proven to be a great tire. I havent made it to the strip yet, but based on the kind of traction I'm getting on the street, I'm going to change my lauch routine completely. It used to spin even thru the 2-3 shift-bet that might hurt, flipping at the 330 mark oh yea, almost forgot-just under 8000
I don't know how many but I can tell you that I was getting no more than 3,500 miles on a rear Dunlop 208 and Metzler Whatever the Model Made Just for Busas. I switched to Michelin PP's and was getting over 5,000, until this last one which I didn't track, but seemed to get less that 5,000. I put a new one on and recorded the mileage because I think Michelin changed the PP; it no longer seems to have that high crown and V shaped cross section.
lol.. i remember on my 04 busa, I had bought a set of corsas, and within 600 miles, i needed a new rear one.. no burn outs, just canyon riding.. I hope when i purchase the 09, im not gonna have that problem, or its gonna be expensive to ride her.
