* 2001 - Clarke says all evidence points to an upcoming attack and pleads with Condi Rice for a meeting with the President. Unable to get one as Bush has downgraded the Terrorism Czar to a non-cabinet level position. Clarke told that he's worrying too much about Al Quaida.
* 2001 - Richard Clarke explains to Bush that Iraq is not involved with the 9/11 attack and that the attack came from Al Quaida; Bush tries to intimidate Clarke into giving him an answer that Iraq and the attacks were linked.
* 2002 - Bush nominates Joseph Smitz to become the Defense Department's inspector general. 77 Companies are awarded, by Smitz, $42 Billion in contracts as of 2005.
* 2002 - Bush gives state of nation speech detailing Iraq's attempts to obtain nuclear weapons (yellowcake) despite the CIA scratching that from his speech due to it being false. Ambassador Joe Wilson writes an article detailing that this was a false statement after going to Africa to look into the assertion. Actually I use it as a litmus test.
1-If a canadate can't figure the 2nd ammendment out as in ignoring the constitution and trying to legislate out gun crime (it's already a crime thank you, etc, etc) then it represents a fundimental flaw in their thinking process (their noodle is fuged up). They legislate more with emotion than with logic...like the worthless "Clinton Gun Ban"
2-I understand what your saying about "big oil" but Obama said "It's not the high price of oil that is the problem, it's that it rose to fast and did not allow consumers time to get acclimated to the new price"...
Couple that with his position of no new drilling, no repealing of federal gas tax (not sure how I feel on that one, they'll get there money from us somewhere), and no nukes...
I personally believe it's time for a revolution and we use the 2nd ammendment for what it was designed for...to take back our own government...

Hey Folks,
I gotta admit that I find it a little surprising when I see folks who seem to take an honest interest in politics stating that McCain is a carbon copy of Bush...Other then loosely(very loosely) being members of the same party, and actually agreeing that military action should be coordinated by folks who have spent their whole adult life doing it(what a concept), they aren't common bedfellows and have parted ways on several diverse topics. Bush is a fairly heavy right leaning conservative Republican, and McCain is a very Liberal, strongly left leaning Barely a Republican/Democrat.
I guess compared to Obama, McCain is more like Bush, but he's hardly four more years of Bush politics...

I don't agree with much of McCains positions but Obama hasn't told me anything solid yet to agree with. All I know is he wants "change" but has no plan to inact such change. With that and his history of forgein policy I can not stand behind him. I do not think he will make the proper decisions to end the war in victory and renew our economy (which is inevidable, according to history, when departing from war). I wanted Huckabee but I will vote McCain for lack of a better option. I also believe that elections need to start being publically funded so the average joe can have a shot of being heard. It's not that the two party system is broke, it's that the rich
