I feel like someone is trying to tell me something

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. What an idiot that guy was.

I'll give you some advice that might make you feel better. I've been scraped off of the highway a few times in a few different vehicles over the course of my life. Heck, I'll need a pick-me-up sometimes as well. Some of the accidents I caused a couple out of my own stupidity, and had more of them happen due to others stupidity. The public roads are full of idiots. Many times we can make the situation worse on outselves by not paying attention or riding too fast or aggressively. I'm not saying that you were doing any of the above. It sounds like the dude was an idiot and then ran off like a coward. Sometimes you just need to take a break and regroup yourself. Re-center your spirit and get back into harmony with things. Trust me, you'll feel better.

Accidents happen. It's not some warning sign from above. It's a combination a factors. Many years ago I lost control of my Z06 Vette and was run over by an 18 wheeler who couldn't stop or avoid me. The impact was horrific. I woke up an hour later after they cut me out of the car. I was laying in the middle of the Interstate with an entire fire department looking at me as they were strapping me into a back board. The cause? I slid on black ice. It was 15 degrees outside and I was driving a friggin Corvette to work---another smart moment in my life. My point is that stuff happens. But from that stuff happening you can come out a better person. You'll be more prepared for disaster let's say.

Just take a break, stuff happens, have a good Thanksgiving, and it'll be okay.

Sucks man, glad your OK.

Hows the chapstick? Think you can get it fixed, or is it a total loss? Let me know if your planning on parting it out, the chapstick I mean...

Glad you are OK. I quit riding on the street and stick to the track. I do miss it sometimes. I relapsed a few months back but after nearly being rear ended by someone I snapped back to mode.

I meant to say that I relapsed (wanted to street ride again) for a few days but I changed my mind after I almost got rear ended by a cager second day back out. I snapped back to "track only mode" after that. I miss riding on these nice sunny Ga days though.

Sorry to hear my brother. Hope the leg is alright, the bike can be fixed. Poor Barney.

glad you are ok, the damage does not look to bad from here, but I know it looks much worse from where you are looking at it. get her fixed up this winter and see you in the spring at Eureka

Glad your ok. Glad you use chapstic and not carmex. Those things hurt when you fall on them. Maybe you could do an endorsement for them. (This is why I only ride with chapstick) you know that kind of thing. Hope to see you at Eureka.

BTW were you on your way back from fixing a certain car ?

OMG!!!! So glad you are OK!!! Sorry about Dino, I loved that bike!!! Were you in a populated area maybe cameras from Businesses maybe caught something on the accident? Did you file a police report? Save those jeans, you could make big bucks off of designer distressed jeans. But lets just make one of them. OK!!!! Hope you can get Dino up and running!!!

:poke: i bet that chapstick made you slide another .029 inches from its awesome slipperiness properties  bet you can still use it:moon: really glad your ok:thumbsup:

Using the rear brake under heavy braking can get you pitched on your head in a fraction of a second. I have caught so much flack on here for suggesting not to use the rear brake in conjunction with the front under heavy braking.

No flack from me.

Sorry to hear about your get off Boazalmighty.

cheers
ken

Glad you are posting and with humor, it helps, I know.
