I feel like someone is trying to tell me something

oh brother, i am so sorry to hear this!!! how bad off are you and how much damage to Dino? how much time before you ship out? are you going to have time to get everything together and fixed before then?

You're in one piece - thats good. But I think the insurance company is going to "total" that chapstick. Don't let those bastards give you one cent less than the full replacement value.

Darn Boaz:banghead::banghead: What is important is that you are OK. At least this time it sounds as if the bike is not totalled. Wish you the best to get back to normal riding again.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and showing concern..

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. What an idiot that guy was.

I'll give you some advice that might make you feel better. I've been scraped off of the highway a few times in a few different vehicles over the course of my life. Heck, I'll need a pick-me-up sometimes as well. Some of the accidents I caused a couple out of my own stupidity, and had more of them happen due to others stupidity. The public roads are full of idiots. Many times we can make the situation worse on outselves by not paying attention or riding too fast or aggressively. I'm not saying that you were doing any of the above. It sounds like the dude was an idiot and then ran off like a coward. Sometimes you just need to take a break and regroup yourself. Re-center your spirit and get back into harmony with things. Trust me, you'll feel better.

Accidents happen. It's not some warning sign from above. It's a combination a factors. Many years ago I lost control of my Z06 Vette and was run over by an 18 wheeler who couldn't stop or avoid me. The impact was horrific. I woke up an hour later after they cut me out of the car. I was laying in the middle of the Interstate with an entire fire department looking at me as they were strapping me into a back board. The cause? I slid on black ice. It was 15 degrees outside and I was driving a friggin Corvette to work---another smart moment in my life. My point is that stuff happens. But from that stuff happening you can come out a better person. You'll be more prepared for disaster let's say.

Just take a break, stuff happens, have a good Thanksgiving, and it'll be okay.

i like your advice...
did you get another zo6?

Sucks man, glad your OK.

Hows the chapstick? Think you can get it fixed, or is it a total loss? Let me know if your planning on parting it out, the chapstick I mean...

Sorry to hear my brother. Hope the leg is alright, the bike can be fixed. Poor Barney.

Glad your ok. Glad you use chapstic and not carmex. Those things hurt when you fall on them. Maybe you could do an endorsement for them. (This is why I only ride with chapstick) you know that kind of thing. Hope to see you at Eureka.
i had a great time and wanting to make it to the next M&G as well

BTW were you on your way back from fixing a certain car ?
umm you know something i dont?

OMG!!!! So glad you are OK!!! Sorry about Dino, I loved that bike!!! Were you in a populated area maybe cameras from Businesses maybe caught something on the accident? Did you file a police report? Save those jeans, you could make big bucks off of designer distressed jeans. But lets just make one of them. OK!!!! Hope you can get Dino up and running!!!
matter of fact, they are the same Icon kevlar lined jeans i wore when i went down in eureka...they real do their job, but im afraid their might be karma there

along the lines of ' you should stop riding' maybe?!?

this is some bullsh!t.

I'm ok, no broken bones. Can't say the same for Dino.(<--named changed from Barney)
that didnt take long...damn, my insurance is gonna love me
just got cut off by a black jeep and I had to slam on both brakes, the fronts gripped way harder and brought the rear end around (jack knifed like a freakin 18wheeler)and went down on my leg. We span around for at least 5 seconds while my right leg pinned under the tail section.
I was too busy watching out for on coming traffic to see where the jeep went.. They never stopped.

have you guys noticed how under adrenaline you can pretty much pick up anything of the ground.

I'll update later, I'm out

so pissed, i just bought this chapstick too:banghead:

Actually it is almost as long as a freakin 18 wheeler !

glad your ok... Just be glad you don't need the chap stick to put on your lips after sliding your mug on the pavement.. LOL

This is the perfect time for an upgrade. Try Burts Bees.

Sorry about the wreck. Glad you're ok.

Dang it, Boaz!! At least you're still upright and talkin'! So sorry to hear! That's one of only two things that bothers me about eventually getting back on: traffic and tight turns! You are fortunate there wasn't more damage both ways, you and the bike. Hope you both come back together and stronger than ever! Have a Good 'un!
