I guess I should put up a maple leaf on my busa...lol. Makes as much sense.
Actually the Maple Leaf is a well respected symbol around the world.
Example: Students who try to "find themselves" by backpacking thru Europe often don the Maple Leaf as a way of getting hassled less by the people of the countries they are visiting.(even if they are not Canadian) I don't think the symbol from the side of General Lee is quite as accepted.

Like Rubb said, there is a vast difference in perception between a maple leaf and a confederate flag, hopefully you can identify with this difference...
Canada who's maple leaf stood tall in the world during many conflicts and blood was spilled to fight oppression and genocide, whereas the confederate flag stands for what exactly?? Among other things was the right to retain slavery...or oppression of a race in today's society.
Oh and Rubb, it was on the roof of the General Lee.....
