I have:
Stainless Rolex Datejust - work watch. I have replaced 4 crystals on it from impact breakage, but it has never lost time in the 18 years I have had it.
Stainless/gold day/date Rolex
Cartier Tank - dress watch. Was Grandfather's.
2-pocket watches
I work for Lexus & when the dealership wins Elite of Lexus for the year they have different awards you can get. I always get the watch. They are all nice looking.
My Rolex datejust has the engine turned bezel, white face w/ silver roman numerals. I got my Wife the same exact watch but it has a mother of pearl face w/ silver roman numerals to match mine.
She gave me a black leather watch case w/ monogram for them - looks great.

No worries for me have been dealing with my jeweler for over 15yrs, wouldn't go no where else. Have had all my stuff appraised by other jewelers and it's all good. Plus anytime I get tired of my stuff I can take back to him and he gives me what I paid for it towards something new.edubb1971 @ Feb. 21 2008 said:

i knew it wasnt long till some1 chanlaged* their authecinty*..good eye guys
i dont think i spent more than 100 bux on both... that one does wind up with movement of the wrist tho

the gold and silver rolex with the date, no bling, the classic. is it a "president"?

The Persident is done in Yellow or White Gold. It has the day of the week at 12 and the date at 3. COST ~$21K
I borrowed this pic from the Rolex forum, I do not have a President.
The other 2 The Blue dial with blue bezel is a submariner, this is SLA1500's sub (I don't own one)
Gorgeous watch! Love it.I'm not a big Rolex fan. I much prefer Breitling, I think for a good # of Years the Breitling product was a sturdier better made product. It appears that Rolex has made some major changes in their line in the last couple of years to make their product more robust, especially in the area of their bracelets.okay show off
I have 2 Rolexes, the 1998 Daytona SS/Gold w/ the Zenith movement that I picked up in NYC this Jan. which you have already seen. I picked it up because of the Zenith movement. Rolex is now using their own in-house movement and the older model has become collectible thus holding up its' value.

The other is a SS/gold DateJust, that was the Rolex from Hell.It was an Anniversary gift from my wife back in 1987. These days I get pajamas and ties. This watch went back to Rolex so often(they finally got it right) that when all was said and done They gave me a new clasp, because they nearly wore off the Rolex emblem from all the polishing (every trip to the repair station got it polished). They gave me a new dial as a courtesy (after 10yr I felt like a change). They gave me 20% discount on a watch for the wife. AND they gave me a 4YEAR WARRANTY, my dealer had never seen anything like this before.

It is the only Choronograph that Rolex makes.
It also has the unusual rep of the SS model going for more than the SS/Gold model. This appears to be due to Rolex keeping the #s made under very tight control.
