If you had $500 for mods...

If you do the undertail I seriously recommend the Top Gun Undertail. I think it is easily the best looking tail out there, and it keep the lines of the Busa intact. My .02.

I really want the undertail mod though...question for those that have it - any problem with rocks hitting it and chipping the paint since the fender's gone?

Anyone? Bueller?  Bueller? :tounge:
That's why you need a hugger with an undertail, to prevent rocks and whatnot from hitting the new fancy/shiney undertail.

And I like the Beuller comment (for those that remember). Oh those classic 80's movies. Might have to watch that tonight.
Memmories........

Okay...I guess I don't know what the hugger is? I'll research it...unless someone has a very handy photo for me to see! :D

Glad at least someone remembers Ferris Beuller...damn, I'm getting old...next thing you know, I'll be quoting "The Breakfast Club" or "Sixteen Candles"...then singing Duran Duran songs...jeez...

I know Postal...so many things to buy, and not nearly enough to cover it all! :tounge:

To be honest, I wish my V&H exhaust had fit better; I wouldn't be worrying over this!

No need to worry. Those are all good ideas. Many many more for cosmetic upgrades.

I'd get the Super Bike Store Undertail I love mine! I also love my Power bronze high rise wind screen also from superbikestore. I love the factory lines of the busa', that's the only reason for not wanting a top gun type, cause you loose the shape when the tail light is removed.......

Or just quit with all the little "insignifigant"(not the safety apparel) stuff and save for a HAYABOOSTA!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure your hubby would get a __uby over that mod!! I cant wait for mine! the turbo that is!

Many good Ideas. Don't worry about what everyone else wants, get what you like. If I had $500 to spend on my Busa, I'd have my D&D's coated and get a Corbin back seat and back rest. But that would probably go over the $500 limit.

You like your D&D's gararnett? You get bolt-ons? Sound good? I was looking at them, but haven't seen any in person...got a pic?

I'd get the exhaust and I would try to find a full exhaust system on ebay for about your price range. Otherwise, you could get a PCII as well

I have a full 4-2 system. I like them, but then I only paid $430 for them off of e-bay, new in the box. I don't think they are very loud, though louder than stock. Mine are the black painted pipes with stainless covered cans, thoughthe cans have black ends. My only complaint is that the black paint on the pipes sucks and they rust quickly. So, I wanna get 'em coated so they will look better and last longer. Otherwise, I like 'em, just fine. I have the K&N filter, no airbox mods and the Ivan's TRE. I do NOT have a PowerCommander or other re-mapping devise. I have no flat spots/hesitation or anything negative with the FI other than a little surge at idle. That is not a problem. Surge on the road or a flat spot etc. would bother me, at any rpm, so I won't re-map. It does rev quicker and throttle response is improved. Pictures to come.

Here it is after the only time it was washed this year. I had just cleaned up the exhaust and re-painted them with header paint. I had taken the luggage mounts off for the picture. Its also before I added the Corbin riders seat and moto-lights. But, the D&D is visible.

Thanks. We need to set up another day trip in VA, so we can meet and you can get a better look. I'm in Ky, but only an hour from Pound, Va.

I would use the 500 to get someone to steal Ninja Eaters motor and turbo for me. :) OK I was just kidding take it easy guys. My first mods where the Undertail and tire hugger. I really hated the look of that big mudflap hanging down and the tire huggers painted the same color as the bike on the R-1's really caught my eye.

Beautiful bike race24x...almost BulletTrain shiny! :D Damn, even did the rims!

I definitely want the undertail done...I'm leaning toward what TheBull350 did; I've got the same color Busa that he has, so it's nice to see the prize before spending the cash...

Thanks for that fstbusa...I looked 'em up just today for the first time...good idea...not sure I'd like the overall look of having the hugger though...seems like it would take away from what I'd just tried to accomplish with the undertail mod...saves the paint though...

I'm guessing Pound, VA is many hours from the coast...but, I'd love to have everyone meet one day...it'll have to almost be an overnight trip for everyone I think...we're so spread out around here...

Sounds good to me though... :)
