Dang Gunny, don't hang it up just slow it down. Don't give up something you love. Just learn when to hammer on it.

Don't know whats goin on in SoCal but up here we are in a full enforcement period both in town and on the highway. Tickets are being handed out like tic tacs at the Gilroy garlic festival.

(CAT3 @ Feb. 02 2007,23:05) Gunny, although I can sympathize with you, I can't comprehend the hanging it up part.  If anything, when I got cuffed a few months ago (Wrote for 107 in a "65" and AZ says anywhere over 85 is auto jail/reckless/8pts/loss of license) I had to practice self control/discipline (and a more keen sense of when to pin it and when to slow the he!! down).  I imagine as Marine your discipline enough to know how to control your emotions....OR you've identified that as your kryptonite?  Which is it Gunny, Ride with restraint or Give-in and accept self-defeat?
Gunny never said he's hanging it up. I don't think he ever will. It seems to be in his blood.

As for the marines part... I was talking with the local recruiter... He said he doesn't have the self control... THe marines teach you "Semper Fi, Do or die!" And that you're invincible and made of bullets... See, I know I'm not invincible... thats why i'm not going marines.

JK My marine friends...

more expensive than TRACK DAYS ;) save that road expense, buy a trailer and go to a track for MORE FUN on a cycle than you will EVER have on streets. sorry to hear it bro. there are options

It seems too late to learn to run. I used to run before it all caught up to me. If you run from the cops 100 times, you will eventually get caught. I have paid over $8,000 in fines/fees/b.s. in the last 3 years from being too fast all the time. Now I have just learned to slow down 90% of the time and I cannot run from the cops anymore. I just don't have the b@lls to do it after I know what the consequences cost. So, I just bought a trackbike and will ride the fuc%ing wheels off of it!

Everyone can exercise self control. It's a matter of actually doing it. Going on 3 years on my Busa and never pulled over on it. Now my cars are another story alltogether.

Man they have it out for you, do you get caught in the same area?

I think a radar detector is in order.

That sucks, man!!

But the throttle works both ways, i hope everything works out for you!

(Gunnybusa @ Feb. 02 2007,17:45) I've been pulled over 14 times in the last 4 years ( of which Ive been deployed for 14 months of them). And yes I know it's not the popo's fualt thier just doing thier job. I got pulled today for 125mph in a 70, right on the 15 north just south of Temecula. Call me what ever you want. There's only one azz to be mad at and that azz is ME!
We have an electronics package we install at HPC which may help with those road side grettings. Give me a call, we installed three this week. Same system on my bike.

Hey Gunny dont let this experience deter you from riding, CHP is notorious handing down those "Donut replenishing slips" this is going to happen as we ride our bikes. Just hire a lawyer and see where the chips may land, just dont give up riding. When I was stationed at Camp Pendleton in the Eighties, I got 4 tickets in 36 months and I beat them all
super.gif
and that was on E-5 pay which as you know wasnt much
SHOCKED.gif
From one "Jarhead" to another dont give up riding.

Semper Fi

Gunnybusa; I've got an idea. Get yourself a European speedometer. They're calibrated in Kilometers...... May make you feel a little better driving 125!!

Sorry, just kidding!!
