Holy crap

S L O W D O W N !!!!!!!!! I have only been pulled over once on my bike and it was in the town I used to work in as a cop and it was a guy I rode with for a while. Got off without a ticket, just got yelled at. He was sitting outside talking to a city official in front of said city officials house when I flew by at 3 times the legal speed limit.

I here you Gunny, been pulled over several times most of them where for no reason at all other than being on a motorcycle, sorry a sports bike! HD never get pulled over around here, heck on some of their rides they get police escorts.
Anyways only a couple of tickets.

But 125, that sucks! You do ride a lot more than the rest of us, time to move to Germany!!

Our traffic system is definitely NOT as complicated as it should be!
We should have different speed limits for A) different people, B) different vehicles
And we should be rewarded for SPEEDING and NOT CRASHING! Honestly.... it shows you know what you're doing! Why can't the government see that?

About a year or two ago I got pulled over I dont know how many times, but I got 3 tickets. Two-3 point speeding tickets and on 4-point... = 10 points in less than 12 months... which meant 1 more ticket and my license would be suspended for 30 days (Here in Florida). So I slowed down. It sucked... but w/e... It's been over a year now, so I can get like 14 more points on my license to have it suspended, so now I'm starting to speed a little again (but only a few mph over... although I should really stick to the limit)... It was a big change for me because I used to drive flooring the gas and slamming on the brakes, like it was a race track... In the car I would do around 100 (limited to 110) most of the time, and on the bike I would hit 150-160 at least once almost every time I rode

Those days are gone now

Been there done THAT. This past year, I had to make it 5 months without a moving violation, because any more points against me, would have cost me my license. Never thought I,d make it, and I admit, I had to, shall we say, make myself scarace rather quickly 1 time, and even had to quit rideing with a couple guys

that seemed to draw trouble, but I made it , and a few points fell off on the first of the year, so now I,m in the safe zone, but a ticket could put me right back in the red. I,ve been rideing for 30 years, and the ticket worry has ALWAYS been there, and always be there, but I still ride, but there is a time and place for everything, includeing high speed runs.
Hang in there Gunny, it,s just part of rideing.

I hope I don,t offend you, but you don,t know what your talkn about. For one thing, I,ve been pulled for 138 in a 70, and rode off with a warning, and second, if Gunny said it happened, count on it, it happened. You should only cry bullshit when you KNOW what your talking about.

If you act like that to the officer your for sure going to jail. Just after I got my busa back in 04 I was pulled over for traveling like 110 or so, in a 55 mph zone the cop was glade I didn't run he reduced the ticket. He told me for going that fast he should be taking me to jail, but thats a lot of paper work for him too. He reduced it to 74 in a 55. Just under the limit for doing reckless driving and him having to do major paper work.

Be cool and there is always a chance to ride away!

someone needs to make a govenor for GUNNY, kinda like they put on the bikes for the little kids so it will max out at a certain speed. lol but on the serious side SLOW DOWN brother!

I know and have road with Gunny and if he posted it...it ain't BS  

He didn't say if or what he was sited for...I know of three others with in the last week that were
doing 170+ when they saw a cop  

they were able to slow down to about a 100 and he was already
writing a ticket to someone else...the cop flagged them down, they stopped and went back to where
he was writing the ticket. They got off with a warning because he was busy and had no radar on them.
