im shaking right now

My wife has "introduced" me to Stevia as a sweetner. I hate all other sweetners...I love my Imperial Sugar.

But with that said, If you use 1 dropper of the liquid Stevia and 2/3 heaping cup of Sugar per gallon of tea...it isn't too bad. I am cutting my tea sugar down by half.

Stay with it bro....waters the best thing for ya:beerchug::thumbsup:

Sweet Tea...take some headache pills to blast through the pain...the harder part to break is the habit. We get so used to doing certain things with certain things...for example...drinking sweet tea with our food..becomes a pleasurable habit. People who smoke and try to quit will tell you the same thing...after they eat they want to smoke...Try and replace the habit with something that is a healthy habit...Maybe a slice of an apple or some green tea like Ogre stated. You are in an uncomfortable spot right now...but try and stick with it...what doesn't kill you will make u stronger :laugh:2hip

You could (after the withdrawal of course) switch to decaf tea and an artificial sweetener you like.

And by the way, I am wondering exactly why you need to lose weight. I don't remember you being heavy...............???

Drinking unsweet tea is dang near considered sacreligious here in georgia. Haha

No kidding. I ordered an unsweet tea at Mcdonalds in Tifton and they looked at me like I was crazy. Then they pointed to what looked like a 3 day old coffee pot on the very top burner. I drank it...but it was not fun.

On a personal note, I have been drinking unsweet tea since I was 14 and I love it. It's far better than water and no calories. Not to mention that I really believe that it's contributed to my very good health.

You should have seen me when I had to lose all the weight to get into the army. I had to cut all caffeine and carbs cold turkey. I was just a down right mean son of a b$tch!! After a few days of this it got better and within a week a week I was back to my normal self. Good luck with the diet. Things will get better!!

Dude, I remember when I was in middle school I'd go through 1-2 2 liters of coke A DAY! I didn't know what addiction was then... Till I tried to kick Coke in High School... SEVERE Migraines. I resorted to doing shots of Coke throughout the day to keep the migraines away till I completely weened off... Now I'm back to drinking Coke again... Thankfully, only about a glass or so at a meal though.

:poke: This reads bad... :poke:

Congrats on your first step of giving it up! Personally I've wanted to for years but never had the moxie to go ahead with it...

forget about unsweetened tea, it tastes horrible to any of us raised on the good stuff! i would rather drink plain water!!

Man cannot live without Sweet tea..Sorry but I cant.
Especially when I am tearing up some baby backs or fried catfish...
'Some more Sweet tea Sweety , please ! '

Haha....I get that alot. But I was raised on UN-sweet tea, so I guess that's the difference. 10x better than water I say. :beerchug:

I'm just trying to get in shape. I'm planning on starting b ack working out this weekend. Drop some "gut" weight and I'll be good. I gained about 25lbs since thanksgiving.

I might hit you up for advice....if I recall, you looked like you lifted a weight or two in your past. Lol

Gotta mix up your diet with a huge variety of drinks. Water should be 2/3's of all you drink.

Hope all is well for you soon.

Food for thought:
A doc is just a phone call away, maybe you should consider if it gets worse or doesn't go away in a day or two.
