Inline five Hayabusa

Aren't you guys getting the cart before the horse? Scabbing a cylinder onto an engine is no small task.
I was just poking fun.:poke: It will be an amazing machine whether it's boosted or not. I can't see not boosting it if it will handle that though. It seems to be begging for boost. That could be the main reason behind building such an engine. Insane power with 25% less boost than a stock motor.

ali123 no body who was a good developer ever took a one off engine with lots of hand built parts and no replacements and blew it up. Get it running, analyze it, then maybe he gets the output he wants from N/A, if not he can add to that.

yeah sure... some of these grudge guys know no limits.. u would be amazed at some engineering out there.

wow...

Might just have to be your next project
I'm not built like that... I have a spending problem as it is.. as soon as the 14 mustang5.0 is paid off I gotta explain to the misses why I NEED a new vette.. I'm already braced for that "discussion".... I'm gonna say.. "I wanted a gt500 mustang and I caved in to you babe" I'm not doing it again... I got a whole list of things WRITTEN down where I caved in to her.... What I might have to do is order an automatic so she could drive it... but that's a LAST resort... with this being said... in regards to the 5cylinder bike...nitrous is often overlooked as an option... simply because of its reputation, but that being said.. its a simple concept and brutally effective... I think it gets a bad reputation because a lot of guys use it and get greedy on stock internals... they disrespect the nitrous... or they get a bad tune/bad fuel... we have all seen the fiery videos... but nowadays, a lot of high high dollar vehicles use spray... on daily drivers even (small shots)

I’m kinda lucky my wife just goes it’s a black motorcycle. Good thing because I can add a turbo and stretch it and no notice it’s still a black motorcycle. Only time it pisses me off she’ll show me some gay 600 and says it’s just like your bike.

she knows how much I spend... its an issue.. and I cant hide it,

I will say though... u are right about the "black motorcycle thing".. my girl still doesn't understand why I paid soooo much for a 2005 hayabusa... I still don't think she gets it... even after I showed all the receipts.

And well never understand the $500 purses either.
lol... that's because thats INSANE. I work with a guy that gets bootleg "made in china" Gucci purses... I bought her one... and she was soooooooo happy... for 5 minutes... she tried to hide her disappointment but I told her "Its the thought that counts"

Regardless how good a nitros tune is, or how small of a shot...it still causes a bigger and hotter explosion in the cylinders.
It eats any engine, wears them out faster.
After the time an effort of making a 4 cylinder into a 5, I couldn't seeing burning it down with nitros, in 100 shots of it...or the first one or two.

Aren't you guys getting the cart before the horse? Scabbing a cylinder onto an engine is no small task. There are huge control, fueling, and balancing issues. Not to mention tests on the integrity of the altered cases. First they have to get the engine running, then be sure there are no vibration issues (catastrophic or just harmonics). Once the engine runs clean, they can look at max power output. I suppose they could plan for future things like compression ratios for a turbo, but I'm sure just making sure the altered crank is both balanced and strong enough to be reliable are first priorities. Let B develop his project and get it running!

Exactly what I was thing, it's an experimental project, let him develop it little by little. :race:

turbos cause bigger and hotter explosions also... ANY motor with some decent power is on edge... its the game that is played... I get it doesn't make sense... but only I can feel what I feel... and there are many many others like me.... a motor like this could change the game.

so to me this guy is doing something amazing. If it runs and ends up in a custom bike of some sort that would be an amazingly cool thing. By constantly pushing the turbo or NOS thing it's like you are putting the N/A inline 5 down, which is pretty unfair IMHO. Why not congratulate the OP on a great project and if this is the game changer engine go make one yourself?

I'm amazed by the ingenuity of any handmade motor but replacing it is not a part of the game. This s without question the most ambitious custom bike project I have ever heard of. If it ends up being the game changer, I think it will remain a one of a kind. Remember, it's most of the bike that has been custom fabricated. It will definitely be one of the most unique busas on the planet.
