Just took my first ride...

The weather has been for sh*t up here, and finally got nice again today. Just turned 150 miles on the Busa, and I'm used to it already. Like being young again (almost!) I pull up to a group of sportbikes, and they give me a look, and I take off my helmet, and they see I'm ancient, and they are like, wtf?...Then a 22 y/o hottie asked me for a ride. Who am I to deny a peak experience....

So it really never is too late....

Congrats on the new bike! The red/black is awesome.

We're the same age. I too have a history of various motorcycles, but the Busa was my first "sport" bike. I've had it since August of last year and just love the thing. Always brings a smile.

Too funny! I'm pushing 50 myself. It's never too late! I sure get some funny looks from guys. I've had my Busa now for just shy of 3 weeks and I have 900+ miles. I'm headed out for a trip this weekend and I can hardly wait. I may go out to the garage and start removing some of the lettering tonight. I like the Hayabusa emblems and will leave those.

We've had mixed weather and it is raining right now so I'm in for the night. Hope you get some good weather!

Happy riding

I think it may be part of the busa jinx, the first weeks you get your busa..it rains like hell! It may not be a jinx but it seems like it!

Welcome to the board, and congrats on the new bike!!!  I'm a firm believer that " power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolute". If you're not a humble individual, the busa will discipline you quick, fast and in a hurry.

Welcome to the board, you found a ton of great people on here with some amazing ideas and knowledge. The Busa was my first bike, first ride ever and lovin every minute of it. So far it has lived up to it's reputation and still handled just as I needed it when I needed it. Be safe have a blast and ride that train til the wheels fall off.

Congrats on the new bike. Welcome to the boards, they are full of great info and people. I got my '05 a few weeks ago and can't find enough time to ride this wonderful machine.
