K8 Stock pipes Mod Done-Thanks freponyryd

well i'd love to ride down and let ya hack up my pipes but mapquest says your 4hours away from me :(

I know it probably too late for the 09's, but this is a design that the Suzuki engineers should look at. This is one of those must have mods that doesnt cost alot, but it definitely makes the bike look better. Went to the local Suzuki dealer today to see how many people would notice. I walked out and there were 4 guys looking at the exhaust. They told me that it was the first time they had seen the shortened exhaust and asked who did it for me. Also said it looked great.

emission issues will not let factory do that.

They look awesome. I wish i had seen this before i bought my Yoshi's. When they need replaced i will be doing this.

looks great... one question i have is how hard would it be to get that end cap and the heat shield powdercoated black to match the can?

Send them to me  at one time I did my stock 08's in gold, then went to black on the heat sheilds and left the ends chrome.I would like to see the ends and the sheilds both done in black.

I too would like mine cut short, but shorter than those by a few inches.

I originally did all my harware and top clamp too!

i decided to just keep them as-is and not powdercoat (for now).

Hi guys my name is Bruce B from South Africa ,I need some advise ,I read about your mods and did the same to my 08' ,sounds absolutely great more torque at the bottom. What worries me is that the bike is running a little hotter also i can hear a slight ticking noise from under the bike.I just wanted to know ,does the bike need to be remapped and does the back pressure issue have anything to do with it running hotter . Have any of you expe this.please help.

No
Bike shouldn't have to be remapped , you still have back pressure , that's what the S curves are for. As far as the "tick" make sure you sealed everything really well , a exhaust leak can sound just like a tick. I didn't see any difference in my temps when i did mine and I'm in Alabama , its not Africa hot but its damn hot here. You could always do the pair valve mod .... alot recommend it with aftermarket exhausts.
