That is a good article. It makes sense to round up Illegals on a military installation simply due to the nature of work on-site and OPSEC.
However, what does that say about hiring practices at the firms supporting the war effort?
Again for me it is always about the bigger issue and not the nuances. You know as well as I do that this 48 person arrest is insignificant compared to overall immigration numbers on an annual even a monthly basis. I qouted myself from a few posts up just to re-illustrate the object of this thread...

If they are going to "round up" illegal immigrants, they should also have some kind of repercussion against the company's that hired them in the first place ESPECIALLY on military installations.

Not fair to have these companies enticing people to come into the United States illegally to work for them then if the immigrants are caught the companies just wash their hands of it.

So, who should it belong to? Everyone that has ever been here has replaced someone else who was here, and I don't think Mexico has been around forever. Even if the land was inhabited by the ancestors of the Mexicans, it wasn't Mexico. I think there is some fault in your logic.

I don't go to Mexico and expect everybody there to speak english, why does that happen here?  Nothing against anybody, just curious why that is

You are the exception my bortha. When most Americans travel, they expect English to be spoken. Luckily, it is spoken in most parts of the world.

But I do see and agfree with your point. If you want to live here, you need to learn the language and the culture. That also applies to people speaking Eastern European, African, and Asian languages.

I have a question. Why is it that the Mexicans are so quick to celebrate their independence from Spain, that they won in battle. But get really pissed when we Texans celebrate our independence from Mexico, also won in battle. Most all of the Mexicans or Hispanics I know down here still say that Texas was stolen from Mexico.
