What about the guy that rides a sport bike, videotapes his riding, videotapes him passing the cop and not breaking any law, then videotapes the cop pulling him over and harassing him. He has three or four different occassions of when he is harassed. Then, when the cop finds out about the tape he freaks out.

Give anyone too much power and they'll abuse it. It's not that all cops are bad, I'm not saying that. But you can't be disillusioned enough to think that cops don't target sportbikes--it's documented

And as far as planting drugs in people's vehicles so that they can use them for their department, well, I've yet to meet the cop willing to do that just so that the department can reap the benefit. Risk prison so that your agency (not you personally) can get a free car? Not saying it can't happen, it's just so highly unlikely as to be incomprehensible. Do you have evidence of this? If you do, I'd say submit it to the FBI for prosecution. If not, well, you probably didn't hear it from a viable source.

Even traffic cops where I'm from (and I'm not one of those) don't chase sportbikes and, ticket far more cages than bikes on any given day.
And, they can't "seize" a motorcycle for speeding, racing, etc.

I don't care for speed cameras either. If I let my buddy ride my bike and he blasts past a speed camera (or a red light camera for that matter) they can send me a ticket without positively identifying me as the operator? Ridiculous. I know some places do it and, I encourage anyone penalized by one of those to get a lawyer and fight it tooth and nail. Then, sue the department that placed it and ticketed you when you win, and you will. Also, lobby your county commissioners/city councilmen/state representatives against it. However, there is no overtime for exceeding quotas. Quotas are also unconstitutional. You only get OT for working past your shift or on your day off and, it usually has to be pretty justified as, most departments are on tight budgets.
Also, citations cost more to write than they make. The myth of writing tickets to make money is just that. A myth.
I just saw a story on channel 7 ABC Detroit about a Warren Police Officer who was getting payed overtime for all the ticket he wrote up, the real kicker was over 3,000 people had been Ticketed
for rolling through this one particular stop sign!...So after a massive out cry by the people, guess
