I have read this post with extreme interest.

Running from the cops is a 1/10000 choice to begin with.

Only God knows what will become of it.

And if you do need to scoot for whatever reasons, having a flip up plate device will not make one bit of difference.

A full tank of gas,knowledge of the immediate area and above average Busa riding skills are the only things that will save you.

Why? Because it promotes illegal activity? Kinda like a radar detector threads. I mean why to you care if some Johnny Law is playing laser tag with you? Unless you're above the posted limit, which btw is also illegal.

radar detectors are at least legal in most areas of the US ... a mod to hide or change your license plate on the fly is illegal in all 50 states and all US territories, hell for that matter I believe its illegal in the EU as well.

so from the perspective of illegal & stupid = squid I guess its squidly. Its a whole other class of illegal than general speeding as well in my book... now I'd say if you are running 40-50-60+ over whatever limit its about the same... oh hell I dunno, its all illegal

I only wanted this mod to run the toll roads. If that makes me squidly, oh well.

Actually, it's only illegal in Nevada if you actually flip the plate up. Having the mod itself is not illegal.

I'm im the process of installing one now.

Radar Cameras are going to be a reality here this Spring.
And I'm not anxious about recieving a ticket for doing 35 in a 30, by mail!

yeah, tickets suck for the most part there's too much bs around getting folks with silly photo tickets. Did you guys check out radar roy's site? Radarbusters.com I believe it is, they have a photo section with reviews of products.

Funny thing about my time in the UK, the only time I saw a cop car is when there was already an accident or when they were on the way to one. Almost everything over there was photo radar.

And I dunno how tolls work in FL, but I wouldnt run them up here in NY/NJ. They dont just get your pic, they have staties just waiting with the engine running for when the alarms sound for someone blowing the land

Talk about a double edged sword. Good cops, Bad cops yes they both exist. Just look at where I live. At one time years ago here was one of if not the worst speedtraps in the world. The city and county have worked real hard to clean up their image. Do I love all cops? no. would I like to wake up tomorrow in a world with no leos heck no. Do I speed? Heck yea everyday. Have I ever received a unfair ticket? Twice in 35 years of driving. But I think that the thousands of times leo looked the other way more than makes up for those times. Thank you ET and all of the other good leos in this world do for us. I pack heat everyday and because of you it's never been used and may the bad piggies
