Looting photochopping

It's not racist, if it was a white man in those pics, would you still call it racist? NO! Chill out, it just so happens that most of New Orleans residents are black. If He wasn't stealing beer, but something useful, I'd have a problem with those pics, but he's an ass stealing beer, not food or water. Let it rest.

They were told to leave and made the choice not too, sounds like they ignored the warnings and then got the trouble they were warned about.

Most who stayed couldn't leave. (No car, nowhere to go, Dome full, no money for an out-of-town hotel, afraid of being looted, elderly, 1000s of more reasons)
Ohh yeah i forgot that lots of people in New Orleans dont have legs. If you are too lazy to walk to save yourself, then thats your problem! Even if you had nowhere to go, you stayed through the hurricane, and now where do you have to go?? You have no food, water, place to live, nothing. If you wouldnt have been so lazy and walked out of town, you would be better off than what you are now.

Spigga,

We took some of these people in here at El Paso and have been giving all kinds of things. Food, diapers, water, underwear, sox, shoes, etc...

I am currently stationed here at Fort Bliss and unlike some jobs, I am not at liberty to just leave work. I must get approval to leave and that is just not feasable for all the military to go, but if it is requested of our unit I will go....

Again, I feel sorry for those who did the right thing and still lost there stuff, but those who were just to lazy or decided to have a Hurricane Party and wait it out, well they got what they asked for and they new 72hours early what they were getting ready to face.

racist garbage.
Someone always has to play the race card or claim race shi... I mean something, jeeze, get over it... There is no room for it in the public anymore.

Its photo chopping, nothing more, nothing less

Would you cry race garbage if it was a supermodel??

Did not think so....STHU!
please.

play the race card my ass. that's exactly what garbage photo-chops like that are doing in the first place - playing the race card. There's been so much of this bull$hit flying around this week since this disaster. I'm f**king sick of it. Yeah, there were idiot looters. Yeah, some of these jack-asses actually shot at helicopters. I'm not even trying to defend the guy in the picture - if he's got time to steal beer, he should've used that time to get out of NO.

Events like this bring out the best + worst in people, + unfortunately, the actions of a few reflect on the other thousands in the group. Add race to the mix, and it gets ugly. It got embarrassingly hideous this week + I don't care for it. As for anyone else - You can look at it + enjoy it all you like.

"Why didn't they leave?"... tell me the clear cut answer. Good luck, 'cause there isn't one. Some of them could have, but didn't, some couldn't, and apparently there wasn't much a civic plan to get them out, or to provide enough food + water in the shelters. It's real easy to judge someone else's life + predicament while we sit here and bull$hit on the internet with the grace of hindsight.

Blah Blah Blah... Its the government's fault...

Years and years of warning's and nothing done..

Here's an idea, lets build our brand new house 10ft below sea level and then cry when it gets washed away..

I forgot we were told to move out of the way of every approaching storm the last Century, who cares, it will turn away at the last second... Guess not this time.

Best comment I heard from the refugees yet, "I dont need your water or food, give me a house"

Heres an idea, the military will give you food, water, and a place to call home if your the type of person you expect everyone else to be..........................

Join those who support you and defend your right to cry about the way the US handled YOUR ignorance!!!!!!

Recruiters are in your area...

You know, you're right. Everyone should have taken their infants and elderly parents for a 500+ mile stroll. Gee, can't see why they didn't do that. Maybe they just assumed their very own government would look out for them just as they have for every other country in need. Lazy bastids the lot of 'em.

Housing in NO is pretty cheap due to the risk of flooding. The thing is, the pricing also attracts those who want to own their very own home, but can't afford better. Its one thing to say "evacuate" but the fact of the matter is, even if everone had evacuated, where would they have gone? What gets looked over in these discussions is the difference between those who refused to leave and those who simply couldn't.

Also consider this. Most of us couldn't part with something like our bikes even if it was for the best. Imagine not only abandoning your house, but your home. Thats the place where they were raised or raised their children. Some were born or gave birth in their homes. I understand your POV in terms of not "going down with the ship", but you gotta understand ... evacuating is WAAAY easier said than done.

RamminBusa: Much respect!

I'm done with this thread ...

They were told to leave and made the choice not too, sounds like they ignored the warnings and then got the trouble they were warned about.  I will go and offer aid if called upon by my Commander In Chief to do so, but they better quit trying to blame the government for THIER mistake compounded by an act of God..
You know Rammin', I wish you and some others would make that statement FULLY instead of partially. A large number of those people could not get out of harms way for other reasons besides ignorance. Yes, it's a lot of black, African American, or whatever you want to call them in New Orleans, but let's not forget that the problem was there long before Katrina hit. At least show sympathy for those who are truly in need, and quit making all the understated remarks that constantly fuels the fires of bigotry and racism. Now I AM NOT CALLING YOU A RACIST... I'm just simply stating that making statements like that puts people on the defensive.

i believe what hes trying to say the lak of trying to help themselves was and is sad.

im not saying they should have been able to all get out, but then i would have to say their fare townsman have let their ppl down.

I can understand why some of you are saying this not a racist act.

You  probably just see the disaster being a couple of people that took an asswhopn like any other state that has been hit by a big ole storm and the ones that stayed deserved what they got, along with the looters, except the  old, children, sick blah, blah, blah right?

Thats cool, but heres how I see it

I personally am not blaming our american people, but our Govt.
Yes, some people in NO did choose to stay and some did not just like others have done in other states that where hit by a hurricane that killed many while leaving many homeless also.

Regardless of the fact our Govt. never sat on its thumbs like it did when Katrina hit NO waiting almost seven days to respond.   If I'm wrong please correct me. Also I feel the delay response contributed (instigated) to the kaos that got way out of hand.

Some here say the Mayor of NO should have done somthing, like what? The entire place was blown away with mostly everything it had for rescueing its own . Ok you say why didnt the Mayor get everyone on a bus and ship'em out, I havent a clue
rock.gif
but lQQking back it diffinetly would have been a good azz plan.   But two wrong doesnt make it right eithier, especially when you have a hungry, homeless and injured people and kaos brewing.

Another fine example of politics at work here !

The media has played a very strong role here too. Com'n people, you cant tell me and I hope you dont honestly believe this was the only natural disaster where people stole for survival or personal gain
rock.gif
.  It sure is funny when you have a majority of blacks involved with a situation how the media loves to flips the script and show the full spectrum leaving nothing out
down.gif
. While on the other hand they will only show you the need of the people and devastation making us feel sorry for the victims.

Never in my life have I witnessed such hatred with joking and laughing of someone misfortune here at the .Org

Peace out

Ty

All I can say is all this racist crap is really starting to make me feel uneasy and bummed out about this board.

As a Marine for 10 years and DOD for 8 years so far after that, racism is not tolerated. And before anyone fricken gives me crap about racism being in the military. stfu.

Maybe it is. but every unit, command, base and people that I have served under and with it was NOT tolerated. I was taught to be color blind.

One of the many reasons I like h.org is because it USED to be gender and race neutral

I don’t like it when whites are constantly saying blacks are pulling the race card and I don’t like it when blacks DO pull the race card.

Every member I have personally met on this board black or white or brown has been cool as shid. Sageronin showed me awesome hospitality when I was back east. Guy is cool as shid he aint black, he aint white. Just one cool dude.

Lobusa and her hubby, more cool fricken people, they aren’t black nor white to me, they are just some cool people that I am privileged to know.

Most (if not all) of Shawn and Lo's motorcycle club is black. One of the coolest and nicest group of people I have met

Charlesbusa, Ninjisky, BABUSA, Busahaya, Wag, Nanette (and a bunch of other people I have met through this board)

All cool people, skin tone not an issue..

You know when the issue of color comes into play? When you don’t know someone. And if you don’t know someone you should not be talking about them anyway.

And when you do get to know someone, you either like them or don’t like them, their skin tone in most cases does not dictate how you feel. Unless you are racists in which case you should probably just keep your comments to yourself.

So, with that said and I my rant over I would like to close with. I have been seeing more racists comments coming up recently. How about if we all just try and be a little considerate of each other and maybe check ourselves before we do or say something that might be border line.

Lets stay clear of any jokes / comments etc that are race related. If anyone feels they have a need to do that go to LABUSA's or something. It is getting real old around here.

From both sides of the fence.
