Louisiana town bans saggy pants and plans fines.

Well, I wouldnt have thought this topic would still be going.That shows me no matter what side of the fence you are on, at least you are on a side and not sitting on the fence...Someone gave me a book Call" Defensive Racism" By Edgar Steele.. What a Book !! I dont agree with all that he says But Issues like the baggy pants etc and control are all in the book.. I'd suggest everyone read it.. ( Not try'in to make sales for the dude " But It is an eye opening book.. I have friends all over the world -every color and shape & size !! So If you read the book -just remember I DID NOT WRITE IT!! But It gets the reader straight on legal issues and the system ... Another issue in the book is Why we think the way we do, Genetics and our surroundings
 
If I was in Law enforcement I think I would be offended having to enforce something so stupid... what now the cops have to be fashion police? Next they will have you writing up people wearing white after labor day... It must suck to actually have a relevant job like a police officer but have your local officials think you are there to weed out the dangerous but crack bandits. Not taking a crack at the leo's but man way to make a difficult job more difficult AND ridiculous.

It is either to gain revenue or it is a test law to see what else they can get away with...

It would definately be nice to not have to see
obese people by the thousands and wiggers with pants around their ankles and punks with 18" purple Mohawks, but that's what makes up this three ring circus side show of freaks we call life and I personally would miss it if it was all gone tomarrow.  It's all your frame of mind dude.  
Perhaps all different types of people in the world
will give your daughter a dynamic perspective on life in general, ya know.  Doesn't matter what the look or trend happens to be.  It would also be a good moment to point it out to her and ask her what she thinks about it without being a condesending pr!ck towards it, like most people are today.   It would show her that you have tact and confidence and gives you a chance to validate her opinion....win/win.    
It's the same crap as the 60's with long hair, concert T-shirts, face piercings, tattoos and the all the other
endless ways people want to express themselves appear.  

Pretty soon they'll pass a law that encraoches upon  YOURS or MY personal freedoms and someone else will say...."Good".
Think about it.

It's America, "Land of the Free".  You either make some sacrifices and stand for it and beside it, or you selfishly don't.

YOU KNOW I don't care to argue all day about a law that like most others will be forgotten and unenforced in a few months. And this is "the land of the free" Because of People like myself That have been through multiple tours of duty in Iraq , and Afganistan, Beating down doors dragging guys out of there homes for what reason ...Laws if the Goverment says do it then that's what we do. My guys don't sit around thinking of reasons it's right or wrong to enforce whatever it is we are enforcing. and yea some times it is rediculous but we do it. Plain and simple. Now I don't belive the law will be taking anything from anyone it affects. If they want to express theirself so be it, But if someone wants to see your A$$ I'm sure they will untill then don't run around with it hanging out for all the people that don't want to see it have to.

I'm not sure I follow what you just said.

Are we supposed to just follow laws that a bunch of fat white haired old goats make up without questioning or complaining about them? Just obey because that's the "law"?

We already have indecent exposure laws but since these guys can't be charged with that (they aren't doing a damn thing illegal) we make up more laws to keep citizens of big brother compliant.

I just picked up my new license plates Friday. All 4 of my motorcycles had an extra $10 tacked on for a Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Fund. $40 bucks for something I don't want to support and something that owners of cars and trucks don't pay.
It was something big brother US government pukes snuck through at last minute and is being fought and I'm going to be part the fight against it.
 
Next will be if your hat's not straight, shirt untucked, shoe untied.

What does having to serve in Iraq or afghanistan have to do with this?

Not to be a bobo but a lot of people on this board have served (myself included)... And have never laid to claim to be the reason we have our freedoms and that is why I am going to do what I am told.

Try to remember what country you are IN and why it is so great... Because we have the right and ability to protest Stupid laws enacted by stupid people and apparently enforced by those that don't want to deviate from what should be common sense.


Give me that... IT IS THE LAW ARGUMENT WHEN YOU TICKET AND FINE YOUR FELLOW OFFICERS EVERYTIME THEY COMMIT ANY TYPE OF OFFENCE.
