It would definately be nice to not have to see
obese people by the thousands and wiggers with pants around their ankles and punks with 18" purple Mohawks, but that's what makes up this three ring circus side show of freaks we call life and I personally would miss it if it was all gone tomarrow.  It's all your frame of mind dude.  
Perhaps all different types of people in the world
will give your daughter a dynamic perspective on life in general, ya know.  Doesn't matter what the look or trend happens to be.  It would also be a good moment to point it out to her and ask her what she thinks about it without being a condesending pr!ck towards it, like most people are today.   It would show her that you have tact and confidence and gives you a chance to validate her opinion....win/win.    
It's the same crap as the 60's with long hair, concert T-shirts, face piercings, tattoos and the all the other
endless ways people want to express themselves appear.  

Pretty soon they'll pass a law that encraoches upon  YOURS or MY personal freedoms and someone else will say...."Good".
Think about it.

It's America, "Land of the Free".  You either make some sacrifices and stand for it and beside it, or you selfishly don't.

YOU KNOW I don't care to argue all day about a law that like most others will be forgotten and unenforced in a few months. And this is  "the land of the free" Because of People like myself That have been through multiple tours of duty in Iraq , and Afganistan,  Beating down doors dragging guys out of there homes for what reason ...Laws if the Goverment says do it then that's what we do. My guys don't sit around thinking of reasons it's right or wrong to enforce whatever it is we are enforcing. and yea some times it is rediculous but we do it. Plain and simple.    Now I don't belive the law will be taking anything from anyone it affects. If they want to express theirself so be it, But if someone wants to see your A$$ I'm sure they will untill then don't run around with it hanging out for all the people that don't want to see it have to.

What does having to serve in Iraq or afghanistan have to do with this?    

Not to be a bobo but a lot of people on this board have served (myself included)... And have never laid to claim to be the reason we have our freedoms and that is why I am going to do what I am told.

Try to remember what country you are IN and why it is so great... Because we have the right and ability to protest Stupid laws enacted by stupid people and apparently enforced by those that don't want to deviate from what should be common sense.  


Give me that... IT IS THE LAW ARGUMENT WHEN YOU TICKET AND FINE YOUR FELLOW OFFICERS EVERYTIME THEY COMMIT ANY TYPE OF OFFENCE.

Those "Stupid laws"were put in place By 'stupid People" that for whatever reason were elected by a majority vote.

I'm simply saying I think there is a difference between expressing yourself and walking around in a very indecent way.

Different people have different beliefs and that's that.

Men wearing earrings, tattoos, white hats after Labor day, socks with sandals, mohawks, fat girls not wearing enough clothes, black fingernail polish, wearing cologne instead of deodorant, dirty cars, suspender with no shirt, riding a Yamaha etc.......You can't legislate taste! Why would you want to?

Gang members in leadership spots in the Los Angeles area back in the 80's, started saggin to show there silk underwear. The was supposed to show how much money they had, they didnt have to wear cotton underwear. Kind of like the big chains and stuff they wear now. Unfortunatly, tons of young kids started sagging with there skid marked white cotton boxers, so blame it on them!

For your information, I have been a gang specialist in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the past 11 years. I have a little bit on insight into these matters. DOC has also made it against the rules to sag in prison only be cause it has gotten so out of control. These guys are getting pants so big that the waist band of the pants never touch there waist at all, and they are elastic. Hell, when they run, it makes them easier to catch!

I agree with you. Its just that I don't find sagging pants that do not expose flesh indecent. We have laws that cover that type of thing already. Does it look stupid? YES. Do I like it? NO. Not all kids that wear their pants like that are gangsters. Just not parented all that well.


And as far as it being a stupid law enacted by stupid people... I stand firm on that assumption because I can
guarantee you that if I look at what ever community this is... I Could find at least 30 things that are more important to worry about... Education, Senior wellness, Public works, Real crime...

But no... they can be stupid and complacent and focus on the real important issues like fashion. And while I respect you and the job you do... You can't convince me that there are not a multitude of things that would be a better use of time for the local government and most certainly the police force.

And anyone who thinks that the majority is always right needs to have their head examined. Look at the statistics on intelligence in this country as a whole and be very afraid that they are making our decisions.
