Miles per tire?

I just hit 5k on my stock tires and they still look good. I do however feel the wobblw at speed. Hard to tell if it is my tires though. Seems to be wind from large vehicles and the super chitty roads in and around Seattle. On smoother roads with no traffic I get very little if any wobble at speed.

What tire is recommended for a replacements? I commute alot and do weekend twisties. :cheerleader: Also, I will be doing a lot of wet riding this fall.

I have many, many miles on Michelin Pilot Power 2CT and Road2's. Fantastic all-round. Great harder compound center, and stickier compound on the sidewalls.

I'm confident you'll get lots of advice on that question, bro.

Had to replace mine due to metal showing at 5700 miles, installed a Corsa III. You will def feel a diference in cornering the bike although it doesnt look like you do much hard riding at all.

I made 9500 on mine. The threads were showing in the middle of the tire though  I have 11000 on front and it is pretty much toast, changing soon.

8000 miles, still got tread in the center, and outer edges (not very far out) that have never touched the road???

You sir are an animal.

I am absolutely amazed to think that you have 8k on that rear! It looks almost new!! I'da say I'm a moderately aggressive rider and never got more than 3,000 miles out of a rear tire on my 05 busa! AMAZING!!

Hey Billy where in MN are you? Im in the NW Burbs of Minneapolis. :beerchug:

I have 5100 miles on my tire and figure I'll need a new one by 6K miles.

I would be suprised not to get at least 6k out of mine. I have 3500 miles and really its hard to see wear. I too ride very unaggresive. Maybe they paired the best bike in the world to the longest lasting tire. Oh my wife has her own bike so the only passengers I have on the bike are my kids - 40lbs and 50lbs, that might make a difference as well.
