Miles per tire?

We need to go on a ride and make a dent on those tires for you.

PS you have a dirt bike? I need a riding buddy for when I hit the north trails on my wr450...

I have 3200 and it's probably 2/3 gone so maybe another 1000 and I'll be looking for a rear only. I'm gonna try the 016 on the rear next and compare with the 015 that's on it now. Lean that bad boy over dude.

are you sure you don't mean 8000 KILOmeters or maybe 800 miles? holy crap i just put new pirelli diablos on around 2,500 miles ago and they're not bad but i need to start looking for new tires probably wait to pick some up on sale since i live in daytona and biketober fest is a month away

Maybe he put on some crazy sprockets and threw his odometer way out of wack  They look good for 8,000 miles!

Wow .. thats just amazing.. after riding a busa for 5years the most i have ever got out a rear tire was about 5500 and the cords where showing .. average miles out of a tire no matter what brand has been 4000-4500 ... GOOD FOR U.

I don't get it.
Everyone says WOW amazing.
I just ride it normal but i dont lean much.
What's soo different about why I get 8200 miles out of my tires, and they still look good than anyone else?
I always ride in "A" mode.???

I had 8749 miles on my stock tires. I just wrecked my bike this past weekend due to the front tire failing. Trust me change your tire like yesterday, better safe then sorry.

I think i read your thread, are you the guy that lost control and went rolling down the highway during rush hour traffic due to a blown tire?

Heres my liquid tire PSI guage, its the best.

Since the riding season is almost over:puke:and the trees are losing their leaves and the snow will be on the ground soon.
I think i will wait till next summer to change my tires:cry:

Billy:

Running the tires at 42 does increase tire life but slightly reduces traction for those who ride aggressively. Also, riding at lower speeds helps tire life (Im talking under 100). The high speeds and rapid decceleration eats tires. And hard cornering also eats tires pretty good. Seems you have the throttle maturity to pull off the trifecta.

Of course burnouts can eat tires too....

Billy: I can see the ridges in the pix you just posted.
Is this what you are seeing as wear bars (circled in red)? I don't understand how the wear bars appear when the tires are worn and not show when they are new. It seems like you would always see them and that they would eventually become even with the grooves in the tread as the tire wears down.

Man I feel good if a rear gets 2K. Both my busa and new 14 are about the same. I have 3300K on my new 14 and will be getting a new tire soooon. I live in the western NC moutains and it kills tires. My front only lasted 2900K and was toast.
