MotoGP 2018

What a chickenshit load of crap that whole fiasco was, making MM ride through the pits because of having to restart his bike.He was back in his slot before the race actually started so no harm/no foul.He was so much faster than everyone else it he'd have won the race by 30 seconds.I don't care what anyone says,he's definitely the fastest rider in Moto GP and always the most exciting one to watch.Other than all that penalty crap it was a fun race to watch, and glad Cal ended up winning it.

Rules are rules. MM is a punk. Yeah he goes to 18th but Rossi loses out on points. He can't just go around the track putting other rider's in danger because he's pissed he choked on the line and stalled his bike. I wish Rossi had come out and punched him in the face. MM is crazy talented but certainly no sportsman.

I think the ride through was for riding the wrong direction on track....

Marquez was penalized for riding in the wrong direction despite being in place prior to the start. I didn’t like it but that’s the rules in every racing program. I was on his side all the way until he punted Rossi off track. He had already bumped another rider who luckily didn’t crash. He was going to be able to pass Rossi easily and only his (don’t give a poop) attitude caused Rossi to crash. He didn’t mean to crash Rossi out as his immediate hand waving showed but he really doesn’t care about any other riders when he’s racing and that’s bad. A thirty second penalty IMO wasn’t severe enough. He shoulda been black flagged immediately. I saw where he went to Rossi’s pit and was shown that he was not welcome. I have mixed feelings about that. Maybe it was too soon? Miller lost all concentration when he got shuffled back to 4th and boy did Cal take the advantage. Zarco and Cal had a good race in the end smoking their tires at every turn but Cal won out, to win his 3rd premier class GP win. Three brands on the podium but no Ducs. Rossi wasn’t going to win but finishing out of the points was not his fault.

Another MM hater eh?:laugh:It's not like Rossi never "punted" anyone before, and he never intentionally punted Rossi,he saw what he thought was an opening to get through and went for it(and then went down to Rossi's pit to apologize but Rossi's guy was too butt hurt to let him in).You know that start thing was chickenshit,"rules" or not,but good for all of you MM haters 'cause that's the only way any of your boys stand a chance of winning.:laugh:MM's gonna own Moto GP for years to come and all of the other riders(and you)know it,so get over it.

I could see a penalty for being reckless when he bumped into Rossi(though I've seen it time and time again happening to other riders and don't remember any of them being penalized[may have been,I just don't recall any:laugh:]).You have to admit that riding in the wrong direction stuff penalty was pretty chickenshit,I could see it if they were all under way out on the track but just restarting your engine and getting into position before the race actually even started was pretty ridiculous(I'm sure most of those other team owners were crying for it).

Holy crap !

Where do ya start ???

Was that not the craziest MotoGP race in recent memory? The closest I can think of was the Indy Race in 2008 in the wake of Hurricane Ike! Marquez was on another planet today (one where he gives absolutely zero F's about anyone!) and I think he should have been black flagged after running into Espargaro, Takagami and ultimately Rossi all in the same damn corner. The first ride through was just tough luck, but he was just riding like an ass after that. Enough about him.

That battle at the front was actually pretty entertaining. The future of MotoGP looks pretty good with the likes of Rins, Miller and Zarco out there! The start was a joke, but rules are rules I guess. I think I became a little bit of a Rins fan today. The Suzuki is coming around and he is clearly riding it to the limit. I slow-mo'ed a few of his tire smoking slides there at one point just for kicks! To my eye the Suzuki has major grunt off the corners, he was losing out to the top end of the Ducati on the longer straights, but I was just impressed with the way it was coming out of the slower corners. Think he roasted the rear tire a little at the end or he would have been right there.

2 weeks to COTA! Marquez may be a marked man by then!

MM choked and stalled his bike on the line. His mistake, rules are same for everyone. I actually will plead guilty to being a MM hater. I think he is talented but if other riders rode like crazy fools they would be as fast as MM, and there would be a lot of MotoGP riders in wheelchairs. I don't get the win at all costs thing, I screwed up and stalled the bike so now I'm going to end someone's career trying to catchup. Nope, on that sort of approach to the sport I'm absolutely a hater.

I think that if he coulda bump started it and (backed) it into place he woulda been ok. I also thought his penalty was chickenshit and I’m not a real fan of his despite his talent. He was in a real time crunch though and chose to ride it back. I agree the penalty wasn’t (right) but according to the rules it (was) correct. Later though, Rossi had the line in that corner (and) was occupying it!:D Baby face chose to cut under him staying on track avoiding the paint line (for his safety) but disregarding Rossi’s safety which pushed him off track into the wet grass. Marquez’ bike was upset enough to buck him off the seat so he had no chance not to run Rossi wide, but, that was his fault to begin with.

MM's new ride.

There is a history to this. Marco was a missile and the other riders complained that he was reckless and someone was going to get hurt. Well someone did get hurt, Marco got killed (RIP 59). Marco was Rossi's best friend in MotoGP ad Rossi probably delivered the blow that killed him - so I am sure this is a heavy load on his mind. I don't think Rossi is being a drama queen, he's serious. Look at this pass that MM uses all the time where he takes a line straight through the turn to intersect the other rider - he's done it twice on Dovi. MM is putting his bike into the other rider's path to cause a mistake or crash, he's not taking a line to make the pass he is playing chicken.

Zarco is aggressive, MM is a prick.
