MotoGp 2022

Doods we're talk'n MotoGP

This is set to go down as the single wackiest year in MotoGP history! First Suzuki quit, and the entire rider market is now in absolute turmoil because of that. To make matters even worse, you have guys like Quartararo and Aleix Esparagaro hanging in the breeze, so they are shopping around as well! I also read today that there was a rumor that Bagnaia was lobbying to keep Miller as his teammate at the Factory Ducati team due to the perceived competition from Bastianini (who is looking like a "Beast" right now!). Now I'm reading that RNF (Formerly Petronas Yamaha) are contemplating jumping ship from Yamaha to Aprilia. LSS the entire MotoGP grid next year will most assuredly look very different than it does right now.

RNF Yamaha boss hints at 'attractive' Aprilia 2023 option - The Race

Morbidelli and Dovisioso seats seemingly in play now. This is getting a bit crazy now.
Its a little bit like when MM was the only Honda rider to make it work.
No good Yamaha making a bike only goodish for FQ and no one else.

The way Fabio rides his Yamah, all it appears to need is 7-8 more ponies. As I recall Dovi took a while to master his Ducati and as good as Morbidelli has been, he hasn’t been consistently good. Still, I am surprised that they’ve done as poorly as they have.

So RNF announced today that they are switching to Aprilia for next year. Aprilia also re-signed Espargaro and Vinales(?) for next year. So an even 16 European bikes next year with only Yamaha and Honda repping Japan. Not sure how Vinales kept his ride honestly ,unless he brought some cash with him..

Haven't heard if Yamaha are going to spin off a new satellite squad.

Also reading that KTM have approached Oliveira to move down to the Tech 3 squad. Who they are signing is anyone's guess, lot of riders available.

Razlan said he's more interested in bringing in young blood and being a feeder - look at his first find Fabio !
Yeah i just dont get why Aprilia are still keen on MV beats the poop outta the rest of the world to :D
Jacks manager is tied in with KTM so who knows...

I see Simon Crafar got to ride the GPRS21 around Mugello this week
Aprilia are apparently have a new engine for AE this wekend.

Mugello is one of the tracks where most of the manufactures will use one of their 'brand new' engines , Simon Crafar talked about this in one of the Tech Talks.

Wow, Ducati has nine bikes fielded. Real surprise at the line up. Five Ducatis and then Fightin Fabio in 6th. The Suzukis are waay back in the field. Other than one or two Ducatis on the podium, who’s gonna win? :D MM had yet another big crash and announced he’s having arm surgery again which means he’ll probably miss the rest of the season. More than one of us saw this happening some years back. His riding over the limit (his or the bike’s) before and during the races may have shortened his career as a GP pilot.
