Mototeck undertail - group buy

Did everybody else pay $25.99 for shipping? I was billed $244.99...
 
I am sorry to seem a bit harsh, but this is BS.  We were supposed to have these IN HAND no more than 10 days from last thursday.  4 days ago the order was finalized and I know that they aren't sending them next day air.  Considering we paid as much as we did for "shipping and handling" you would think there would be a greater effort to get these items to us.  Most items are marked up 50% from what they actually cost the dealer.  These guys made alot of money off of this transaction and I am a bit pissed off that they haven't shipped them yet.  I know this isn't your fault kkattan, but these guys need to stand behind thier word or give us some money back.  Thanks for letting me vent.
understand your vent but you said yourself that it was finalized just four days ago so technically  that would be 6 left to get them.. Not gonna get here any faster raising cain .we are all in it so not like there gonna stiff us would be very bad business considering on how many paople use this site . and you can bet they are aware of that..

yes i believe we all payed that much... doesnt matter if you are East coast or West coast... even still... 6 days to pull a piece of merchandise from a wearhouse, put it in a box and ship it? thats a bit much for me to handle... their website said 1-6 days to basically pull the part, pack it, ship it to some reigonal warehouse and then give us a tracking number and ship it again... fancy way of saying, we dont stock the part but you can order it from us and we will get it when we can... if you count the day we ordered, today was the 6th day so i hope we will see tracking numbers tomorrow or i will call them myself...

shipping is 5 to 10 BUSINESS Days.. this exludes sat and sunday.. so considering deal was finialized late wed...

Not to be a smarty.. but i believe here is the break down.

Feb 23, Thur = day 1
Feb 24, Fri = day 2
Feb 27, Mon = day 3
Feb 28, Tues = day 4
Mar 1, Wed = Day 5
Mar 2, Thur = Day 6
Mar 3, Fri = Day 7
Mar 6, Mon = Day 8
Mar 7, Tue = Day 9
Mar 8, Wed = DAY 10

i want my undertail just as much as you guys do..and dont want anyone here to be upset. i am sorry this is the first time we have used this vendor i hope we do not have a problem in the end.. If anyone is really upset about this shipping please contact me.

Tomorrow i am going to ask about this "everything we carry is in stock" to get an explanation.." however he did tell me shipping is 5 to 10 business days for delivery.

yes this is the standard rate.. originally i was quoted and told everyone else the shipping would be 10 to 15 dollars..

Hi Khalid,

We did agree to 219 + shipping. The shipping was 25.

Shipping is something that we cannot discount. Our computer system is tied to the UPS shipping system and automatically gets inputted into the computer system based on what UPS charges. The shipping that you are paying is the same shipping that a dealer would pay if they ordered from us.

I checked with the shipping department to find out why the cost was $25. They told me that the package is “oversizedâ€￾. What that means to you is that sometimes boxes are what UPS calls “oversizedâ€￾. They deem packages “oversizedâ€￾ based on its total “girthâ€￾ (combination of length, width, and height. The boxes that house the Hayabusa Mototeck undertails happen to be “oversizedâ€￾. Our shipping department can fit them in smaller boxes, but then they would not be following UPS packaging guidelines (there must be a certain number of inches in between the product and the carton wall. If our shipping department does not follow UPS packaging guidelines and the item is damaged in transit, then UPS will not pay the claim. That means that you will be stuck with something that is damaged and you will be unable to obtain a replacement.

If you would like to verify all of the above information you can call UPS at 1-800-742-5877. I can also obtain the carton dimensions from our shipping department so you can contact UPS to get a price quote from them.

The retail on the Mototeck undertails are $300. You are paying 219. Regular dealers pay 240 when they order in low quantities. They still pay $25 for shipping.

Stepping in again to check on things.... Little shipping issue! Looks like your vendor doesn't do drop shipments. That could account for the x-tra time. As far as shipping charges go, that price isn't to far out of line. In fact looks to be right on! One thing to remember in the very very competitive world of the internet is that NO ONE can survive selling product at 50% mark-up, unless their a sole source provider! I do however understand your frustation... Group buys take time. Trying to save a little extra cash makes you more willing to go the extra distance. But, when things don't go as first planned things tend to get frustrating! Especially when it involves processes, people, & things that are just out of reach. But, I promise a year from now the delay of shipping everyones undertail will be the last thing on your minds! Keep me posted as things go and be sure to post up those pic's of the install.....

Sorry for the delayed response. It’s been very hectic here. We have most of the undertails in stock. A combination of the upcoming spring season and the group buy has diminished much of the stock, but don’t worry because even if they aren’t in stock we can get them in a matter of a few days.

okay.. just talked to Exotic... and we are supposed to be getting our UPS tracking number tomorrow (Thur).. i hope that means everyone not just me.. (geographical location)

Guess I jumped the gun...

I cut and pasted thr tracking number onto the UPS site and the number is "NOT GOOD"

AAAAAGGGGGggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!

Will this ever end???
