I think some people are confused about corner speeds on the street, sure an F-1 has a track time somewhere around 30 seconds faster than gp bikes, but you will NEVER EVER see a STREET LEGAL automobile that handles as well as F-1, never!
your best handling european autos will have a hard time keeping up with an RSV500 GP bike in any street situation, they can carry way more speed into the corners brake later, and accellerate out of them way quicker. its all power to weight, while F-1 rules in power to weight, you wont run into one on the street!
take any 04 liter bike against any 04 ferrari, wouldnt even be a race on the street unless it was all chicane where the bike never has a chance to stretch its legs or use its braking power, even then the car will have a harder time passing a bike than the bike would have passing the car cuz the bike can pass even in the face of oncoming traffic?
if its me, in your normal every day traffic, I will end up passing the F-1 when he comes up on slower traffic, its just a matter of time before I check out on the fittapaldis of the street... sorry, but thats just how it is...
