My "08" Soap box Bored waiting on the busa reviews

I had ordered a orange /black but today the new "black" came in, first in the Key's. I was the first on the call list and had to see it even though I wanted Orange. First and foremost, it is charcoal black with heavy metal flake that stands out in the sun and is very impressive. It is not black when you park it next to the 07 black. I love the color (a bit darker than my Chevy dually) and the tail section is awesome in person, especially since the "shovel" can be totally removed by four? bolts and changes the look. In Miami, a 340 rear wheel went on one, looks tough but so much for the handling in the twisties. For myself, function foregoes looks. The cans are very large however there will be aftermarket products out, actually there are a few, that will rectify this issue. What material the exhaust pipes are made out of is foreign to me, more of a composite than metal. The only chrome on the bike is on the pipes. The bike is soooo quiet, it purrs, especially next to my Kerker headed 1000R Hurricane which is a sound from the past. The new rear sticker is changed in layout but reads 1300, not 1340. The original photos of the prototype shows the old stickers.
In short, this bike ROCKS! If you do not care for its appearance, buy a leftover 07 as they are still there. Remember that it is more the rider than the machine that will win the race.

.

i hated the look of the 08 when i first saw it, especially the tail but now it has grown on me. the extra power is definately welcome, even if i am still getting used to my 06. would i like a new one? yes, would i change the pipe and drop the rear fender? yes. at the same time i am very pleased with my tried and true "classic", it's like a mustang lx 5.0 kind of classic.

so this is a step up for us as far as power, maybe design for some of us. i'd like to see what's brewing for the 10th anniversary, and or gen III....

i love my 06 'busa, can't wait to ride this weekend.

Aerodynamics my ass. DOT required 9" between turn signals. who cares, everyone getting rid of stalks directional anyway.

All I can add to this is just go see one at the dealership and make up your mind there. The bike in proportion looks good, the tail just freaked people out because it was different in my opinion. Pesonally I like the look better than having two signals just sticking out on the side... When I laid eyes personally on the 08 at the dealer it wasnt as bad as I had imagined..... Dont judge too quickly.

i think that the tail is really growing on me just get ride of the mudflap and add the yoshi r-77's but i wish yosh would make a high mount because i like hmf but yosh just look wise has some amazing lookin pipes

I'll be honest i wasnt too keen on the bike when i saw the pictures.... im not a Busa owner..... but when i went into the local Suzuki dealers (my wifes after a 750 so i wasnt even there to look) the bike looked so mint in black.. i ordered one on the spot...

They look loads better in real life ;)

Hate the look of the 08?HELL I hate the look of all busa's!!!!!!!I was pissed off when I found the busa to be the only comfy bike for me that was stable at triple digit speeds. Then I saw the 06 burg/black on the showroom floor.Love is blind.
Now after looking at the 08,my 06 looks OBSOLETE.

orange/black please

I have no patience to wait for the orange so I bought the Charcoal because I like the design so much, same reason I have my Hurricane. Cutting edge for 1988, Busa is cutting edge for 2008, just think what 2018 will offer?

I saw one today in Sanford and even talked to the owner.

This bike is beautiful. Black/grey. The owner had nothing bad to say about it. It's more powerful and stops better. The tail looks awesome in person.
