My Gen3 Turbo Kit - lots of pics

this whole time I could have been following your build!! So cool. I'm still in love with the stock-ish look 300+hp vibe :-D

I have become a die hard Harley fan over the years ... but if I absolutely had to pick just one, nothing compares to a turbo busa. I rode my Harley on the highway for the first time in awhile the other day, and it felt awful compared to the busa in basically every way haha

Also sorry if posting pics of my stuff in your thread is a faux pas, @smithabusa !!

I keep thinking I have flat tires when I go back and forth to my bagger lolol

No not yet, been hard to coordinate with ricks shop and my family camping schedule lol

Been riding it though
Are your logs looking ok? How much boost have you cranked it up to? I'm trying to get my turbo kit ordered now once it comes in I'm going to hit you up for a maxx. I think I'm going to street tune it. Only going to run 4 psi on stock motor until the following winter when I build the engine up. Trying to do it all myself. Tuning is the part that scares me. Have you got a good base map ?

You're comparing apples to... ... Lazy Boy recliners. A dealer talked me into testing one and I was totally astonished at how little I cared about performance the minute that thing was rolling under me. This is totally true that my overwhelming impression and need was to find a Rolls-Royce to pull up next to and ask if they had any Grey Poupon. I suppose you put me on the road for an hour or more and the performance limitations would get to me, but it was a sublimely comfortable test ride...

Yep logs look good, been up to 12 psi. If you know what you are doing street thing is possible, when if you have a tuner help you do it. Yes wild have a base map, but in running 10.5 pistons, 1000cc upper injectors.

Thats good. I have someone that will help me that is familiar with the maxx and only tunes at a track now. Anyway sorry to derail your thread. Carry on,

If you can swing it, and plan to tune yourself, getting familar on a stock engine without boost is easier for sure, less risk of bad stuff happening from a mistake or oversight on a NA bike. Ive had a few guys install it stock, then go turbo for that very reason, works well if you can swing the finances etc.
