Name 4 things you would change about the site

Of course you always have a few of us around to remind you how old a thread is...

This is a good topic, we have fumbled around with this issue for 20 years.... I can flip a setting and literally reverse the threads or take you to the last one but then you end up spending more time scrolling the other direction trying to find out where you left off.

Let me see what I can come up with! I get the spirit of the request..

Cap

If you look at the avatar you will know the username starts with that letter. The default setting on the forum is a letter by default until its changed. This leads us to the request above to get the ability to change avatars fixed which we did last night...

I would expect to see less letters and more avatars over the coming days...
Yep. I was just giving the old guy the gears....he'd be remised if I didn't

I'm old fashioned and like the post count and join date below the avatar & username. That's how it was back in the olden days. (I get you can mouse over the username & see that but still.)

I've been posting on this site for 18 years. :p

Oh, and can you get Suzuki to release the Gen-III. Tired of these articles that keep promising me it's on the way.

Well I was gonna put it in my original post but thought maybe I shouldn't but since redbull brings it up I agree. FREE ALI ,Yes he was wrong for a few things but I have to say with all the bs going on in the political posts those who wanna run and cry to cap when they see him post can just put their big boy panties on and hit the ignore button over his name if they have an issue.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who would like a way to contribute financially to this website. I’ve done it before but can’t find a way to do it again. It would be a way to voluntarily contribute whatever amount we want whenever we want. Whaddya say Cap?

I have a couple sweatshirts and t-shirts that's about it.

1. Open a web store with t shirts, long sleeves, hats with the logo so we can contribute to this amazing site!
2. Make decals so we can throw onto our cars and represent this group (I might actually go do that this week... keep you guys posted.
3. Under the avatar, join date is not as important to me as perhaps year/type of bike listed
4. A page for people to submit timeslips so we can get a list going (Not for me though, mine is slow)

You have done an amazing job thus far, very happy here! While this club is not huge the amount of knowledge is immense! Comedy also abundant LOL

The post "Like" options could be expanded. One good one that I have noticed elsewhere is a "thanks" button. An alternative is "helpful." I think that it would be nice to make distinctions such as "this helped me" versus "I learned from this" versus "I recommend this" or "I like this."

I would like to be able to block/hide specific threads similar to the block/ignore member capability.

I propose a database of aftermarket parts and bike changes. It could include the vendor name, part number, part description, trade-offs the part creates, weight, "kit" relation, and opinions or links to opinions in the forums. This database would be filled with recommendations from forum threads and possibly aggregated by members. All we need is the database to enter it into. The users could filter the part data similar to using a spreadsheet. Example: Filter "weight savings" and all applicable parts are shown. Or filter "brakes" and all brake parts are shown.

One reason to take members' hardware recommendations and collect them in one place is that people expect succinct summaries like this nowadays; they want fast access to useful information. As a result I think that the data sheet could get hits via the Internet from non-members. Think of it as the ultimate Hayabusa upgrade app.

I would happily spend time doing work such as linking applicable posts to database entries, finding part weights in posts, etc.

That is only three requests versus the solicitation for four, but I try to not be too greedy when someone else's time is at stake.

If possible I would like that there is something like a "sticky note" thread section. The most liked topics (like oil change intervals for instance ) get their own category which would also function as the most "wanted/helpful" topics.
I know there is a search bar - but with something like this we could ensure that only the most helpful would be voted to the top.

I would also like to be able to have a section underneath the name with the basic info rather than having to hover over the name. @captain -the German Hayabusa forum has that in place in case you wonder how it could look.

In regards of blocking someone (which came up recently in another post) is it possible that if you block someone - they can't see your posts and you can't see theirs.
Not that there is a need personally for me but I have seen that in another forum that if you block someone - you basically disappear for the other person!

Oh and number 4.
@rubbersidedown should be an admin again....

Can you guys tell me 4 features or functions your wish Hayabusa.oRg had or that you could change?
I don't have 4 things but one thing that has been brought to my attention would be that if we were able to edit a post anytime after making it. Sometimes there might be something like with the write ups that Mythos does where occasionally a wrong torque spec is put in and not noticed till way later or something else that needs to be changed in a post. As long as it's the person that wrote the post it would be nice if they could edit it.
