Many of you know I'm new here. Ride an H-D but looking to get a Busa.
Today...out of the blue. My wife offered to sale her bike (another Harley) and give me the money to put down on the Busa. At first I had feelings of excitement. But then, I'm not sure what to do. Weigh in and let me know what you guys would do. She rarely rides anymore since we've have our 1st child. In fact I had to jump start the battery the last time she rode. Thanks for all replies. What do you think.....

I couldn't get my wife back on a bike until my kid was in college. I might take her up on it if she really means it or sell both and get a busa for you if you're not going to have a cruising partner.

If she is good with it I say go for it. You will love it and when she hasore
time to ride just pick her up another bike.

Sell it. Don't let her change her mind. I sat on my Buell Blast for years thinking I'd ride it. I sold it last month. It had 113 miles on it....original battery and everything. Still ran.

Of course my money went straight to another bike, but you get the point.

Sell it. I say this for a few reasons. 1. she may just be wanting to be safe for the kids (you never know what idiot might hit her) 2. she could always ride your busa when your not looking:whistle:, 3. if she does want another one someday she'll need something better than a hd to keep up with you:thumbsup:

If you do go the sell route....I'd have a heart to heart talk with her to let her know she doesn't HAVE to do this for you and how much you really appreciate it.:beerchug:

Voted for the Busa, but have to confess, I have never ridden a Harley, or a cruiser for that matter. I only know European style bikes.

If I want noise and vibration, I hop on my dirt bike, which by the way stays ahead of most Harley's up to about 80mph.

I sold my 600 so that I could get my busa and hubby could get a newer 600. Do it you won't regret I promise.:cheerleader:

If she doesn't ride anymore, I would sell her Harley and keep yours for some good 2-up riding. Take the money and buy yourself the Busa and have the best of both worlds.
As much as some members here will try and convince you differently, as great as the Busa is, there's nothing like having a cruiser sitting in the corner for those weekend family rides.

A Little 10-year-old girl was walking home, alone, from school oneday, when a big man on a black Harley pulls up beside her. After following along for a while, turns to her and asks, "Hey there little girl, do you want to go for a ride?"
"NO!" says the little girl as she keeps on walking.
The motorcyclist again pulls up beside her and asks, "Hey little girl, I will give you $10 if you hop on the back."
"NO!" says the little girl as she hurries down the street.

The motorcyclist pulls up beside the little girl again and says,"Okay kid, my last offer! I'll give you 20 Bucks "and" a Big Bag of Candy if you will just hop on the back of my bike and we will go for a ride."
Finally, the little girl stops and turns towards him and Screams Out..."Look Dad, your the one who bought the Harley instead of the Busa"!
"YOU RIDE IT!!"

Let her do this for you. Take a little of the money and buy her something in appreciation for what she is doing for you and enjoy the busa. Trust me, wives like to see their hubbys happy.

I agree completely.

Oh and make sure this isn't one of those tricks that wives play to catch you being selfish:laugh: Good luck :beerchug:

NO DON"T DO IT. If you sell her bike and buy a busa, You'll be selling the other one later to buy her a 750. Nah just kiddin dude, We both had cruisers and she didn't ride much so we traded her mean streak for a 600 gsxr. She hated it to start with but when we got it lowered and i got my busa she loved it. Do it, I promise it's a different life even if you don't use all the power. You Know you are the baddest mo fro on the road. Just gives you a warm feeling inside. Happy days.:cheerleader:
