Need some urgent tech support !!!!!

Frank , quick update. Dealer took out my tensioner ( everything standard on my engine apart from recall tensioner ) , the thing was almost at the point of complete failure !! It is so soft you can actually compress it with your hands without much trouble. I do not know whether this is the cause of the strange noises , but it would have been a guaranteed failure within the next 100 miles ! Waiting for yet another tensioner , will keep you posted !! From what I read on dazee`s posting , he had the same noise , the same failure on second tensioner , and now the dealer says there is damage to the engine. If the chain did not jump on the sprocket , how the hell is that possible ??

If it jumped time your sure to have bent valves, with little or no compression.

I don't have a stock tenioner in My motor...and when I checked the chain tightness, it was right where it should be.

Right now I'm still looking?

It is possible there is damage due to the cams could have jumped timing and then when restart it kickd back for a splipt second causing it to gp back I have seen this before

I`m not so sure that I grasp what you`ve said johnnycheese , could you explain to the technically disadvantaged , and how would I know this did not happen to mine as well??
