turned down.No counter-offer. He say's he's going to keep it and part it out. Good luck with that. If he goes Ebay and offers shipping to anywhere,he may do OK.
My guess is he will sell some krap at first, then be left with a pile of junk in the corner he'll have to give away. It's the 2000 curse. Nobody wants to replace a bad factory part, with another factory part that has been raped and sodomized. Unless he does some fibbin' to potential buyers, but this guy seems like a straight shooter.
I guess my choices are to up my offer,or as most of you have suggested...
He has never been a "sport bike" guy. But he's on one of my old rides right now. A hundred horse-power chopper. Not the easiest thing to stay alive on. He's got the ballz,he usually hands me my azz when we ride trials, not trails.if you know what that is. I felt confident handing him my $43.000 (original cost) choppa.
He would be atleast a season or 2 keeping up with me,especially in the twisties, but he knows I would DEMAND that he not even bother trying,he has young kids to fend for,my two little favourite Great Nephew and Niece.
