Needing to vent - Lockdown again (apologies to all)

It's just a mask
It's just 2 meters
It's just 3 weeks
It's just non-essential businesses
It's just non-essential workers
It's just 3 more weeks
It's just until we work it out
It's just a bar
It's just a restaurant
It's just care homes
It's just schools
It's just to keep from overwhelming the health service
It's just until the cases go down
It's just to flatten the curve
It's just to keep others from being scared
It's just for a few more weeks
It's just gyms, and salons, and spas, and sports
It's just churches and mosques
It's just singing
It's just no happy birthday; no shared cakes
It's just travel
It's just 3 months of lockdown
It's just some floor markings, and temporary screens
It's just a one way system
It's just until we get a vaccine
It's just an app
It's just for tracing
It's just to let people know you're safe to be around
It's just to let others know who you've been in contact with
It's just a few more months
It's just some areas
It's just government guidelines
It's just for your own good
It's just for protecting others
It's just fact-checking; it's not censorship
It's just mandatory
It's just... it's the law now
It's just 'the science is settled'
It's just only those scientists, not those ones
It's just because of the second wave
It's just to save your granny
It's just another lockdown

It's just school; they can do it from home
It's just almost a year... but after a year it will be better

Hi. This is my very very big vent. I am tired of being ripped off by the government. I have worked through this Covid-19 mess. I received $5.00 an hr extra for working, people who did not work $600.00 extra a week! What A hole came up with that? So for working and coming in contact with 5000 people and keeping every think going. I lose over $10,000.00. Boy was I stupid to do that. I would think that they should reward the people that took the chance of getting Covid-19 and not rewarding the ones that stayed HOME.

The regular flu has been around for a long time and has killed millions upon millions of people....it is said there are over 60 variants and each year the WHO throw a dart at 6 of them and that's what the vaccine is consisted of....

Now there is Covid 19 which is similar to the flu in many ways....there is one vaccine and now multiple variants....with the combination of rapid world travel and people refusing to get vaccinated, the variants can multiply much quicker than the flu ever could....

The vaccine is the only way out of this pandemic yet people are too stubborn and blinded by their own selfishness to see this....the latter doesn't surprise me at all as people as a rule are very selfish and self-serving in this era...

With the invention of the internet, the average person is much smarter than the professionals who spent multiple years in schooling and working within their fields as virologists and such....everything today revolves around a conspiracy......

You weren't ripped off, you made a choice...your choice was to keep on working....nobody walked you to work with a gun to your back, you did so willingly and knew the risks....

If you had it to do all over, would you do it differently??? Just by reading your posts, I think you wouldn't.

This is like looking over the fence at your neighbor's yard and wishing you had what they had instead of just being happy with what you have.

You are in the process of building an extravagant motorcycle to go race....many of us here couldn't be able to do such a thing but there are no posts saying at how envious or jealous of what you are doing, instead there are posts and post of our supporting you and encouraging you....

HI. If I had do it all over again I would stay at work again I am not quitter. It is the way I am I try to help all I can. I am not saying not to help the ones who stayed home, give them what they would have received if they stayed working. The should have given the working people the extra money who stayed on the front lines.
 
Sort of off subject a little , but in regards to Mikes build , well I think most of us know Mike has now been years at working long hours to pool together the huge $ required for his build . I also feel we all know he is honest , self funded , and has incredible perseverance to get it done . I actually am astounded by his energy , as I am sure I have mentioned elsewhere , and not for one minute , do I envy his task of building this bike . The end result will certainly be something to behold , no doubt , and to outside layman not familiar with his build journey , may begrudge anyone owning such a beast .... But all of us who know , will always offer encouragement , possibly even awe inspired like myself , by the enourmity of his chosen task .

Hi ROADTOAD1340. THANK VERY MUCH. I am doing the best I can. If I had the extra $30,000.00 It would be done. If I had F1 $ I would spend 1 to 5 million on it.

Damn you made an extra 5 bucks a hr? You wanna know what they did to us? Cut off their portion of the matched pension during covid for some odd reason.... let's just say after that my work ethic has fell quiet a bit.

Hi. My dad was in WW 2fought with Patton in the battle of the Bulge I was on my 3rd tore in Nam. My grandson 6 yrs in Afghanistan. I went to help my cousin, but killed himself and that left me with his big mess to clean up family on his side hates the family on his wife side. Me in the middle of it all. I now have a 3rd job property management that means I do all the work.

So I wasalways under the understanding that a vaccine by definition was to keep you from getting whatever the vaccine is for so for me to have someone jab me and say I'm still possibly going to get it just doesn't add up for me. As a child when I was given my vaccines something they gave me almost killed me so again another reason I'm leary on taking the vaccine. But I don't feel it's OK to say that the only way out of this is for everyone to get a jab when your still getting and transmitting it after the "vaccine". I'm no expert and don't try to be but I do try and always see both sides of things and for me I don't feel the chance I have a bad reaction to the shot is worth me taking it since I am one of those that life didn't change much for when they said stay home.

Well, now there are variants so the vaccine isn't as effective...IF people were to have got the vaccine before the virus had a chance to mutate, it would have been much better. The vaccine is the only way out of this....herd immunity isn't working.

As it sits now, if people who are vaccinated contract one of the virus strains, the effect is much less than an unvaccinated person...and according to any documentation I have read, you won't transmit the virus...

As for your previous vaccinations, you were most likely part of the very small percentage of population who had a negative reaction to them...
