Points taken... I never claimed to be perfect... fighting against communism is an honorable endeavor. It must make some peoples skin crawl when they see this country going socialistic... and as history has shown us... it then goes totalitarian which is akin to communism.

As far as you say we have strayed the simple truth is the world has looked to America to save themselves from tyrants and other ungodly powers that want to rule over us. Just look at where the illegal immigrants are coming from... what does that tell you? It tells me this is still the best place to be if you want to have any resembelence of freedom to live as you like.

So... as Australia withers under the thumbs of tyrants with to much power we now know America will never lift a finger to restore the freedoms of those people halfway around the world.

Well our armed forces are now voluntarily doing so. Not doing it by being drafted. We can't say who was fighting against what when being forced to do it involuntarily.
Many never supported the Vietnam War.

I do remember a president who made the observation that we only get immigrants from shithole nations now. And wanted to close the borders to prevent diseases from harming us.

Now we have a president who is using that previous presidents rules for sending them back.

Odd that now it's OK to turn them away.

The world is an ugly place....people who reside within countries such as the US who enjoy freedom enough to live their lives the way they wish are blind to how citizens in other countries have no social liberties or freedoms, they can't just go to a store and buy whatever they want and they certainly would be very hard pressed to own a motorcycle such as many of us do.

My point is-why wouldn't people from socially and economically oppressed countries not want to emigrate to the US (or other countries). A country such as the US which was founded on immigration. Good thing the early settlers were unsuccessful in turning away immigrants or the US would not be the country it is today.

As for post 350, I wouldn't believe one letter coming from that source...which most definitely has a clear and defined agenda.

Now we have Biden dodging reporters often times and retiring for the day when he has exceeded his time limit for cognitive functions that require memory. His edicts after he entered office were mostly knee jerk reactions to what the former president had working in a positive way... the border crisis now a glaring example of the work of what a president can do to sabotage a country.

I am fairly certain another major event will take place due to the inability of the weak minded and compromised Biden to take the best action at any certain place or time.

If ottas thread split into a few different directions(most seem to be related though keep that in mind) then why would Otta get upset?It's a thread.Be happy we all have a platform to vent as the world is a poop hole right now with different rules for for THEM and US being more obvious than ever before.
