Needing to vent - Lockdown again (apologies to all)

If there’s one picture that could depict Australia.. it’s these two police officers double pepper spraying a 74 year old lady after violently throwing her to the ground.

That is what they are physically trained for nowadays , always ready and willing to get their hands dirty , beating up old ladies and women and children in general .... oh and technically trained , for speed camera operation .... LMAO

Imagine being called white supremacist and neo nazi for wanting to work and not letting the goverment control you? We are living in another dimension.
The world is not a nice place, civil uprisings have been in full bloom in many developing nations, it's hard to watch a civilized nation experience this...

That being said, this is just the tip of the iceberg as populism and nationalism are becoming more popular and mainstream.

Many governments of civilized nations have essentially disarmed the population but as civil unrest rises to extreme levels, weapons will be found and used sadly.

Will be the like the NRA in many countries soon... I believe in nationlism, I care about my neighbours and my country men. I don't care for nato, I don't care what Europe, Africa or China are doing we need to focus on our country and neighbouring countries (u.s.a and mexico) I don't care about trying to feed the world, when we cant even feed our own populace without donations even though we are a leading producer of food it's just madding. I don't want to be a part of the U.K I don't want anything to do with those pedophiles of a royal family. I'm tired of countries ripping them selves apart for the "greater good of the world" we need to focus internal instead external... Canada has no business dictating anything in the middle east or China or Russia or Africa.

The days of news papers, new channels are gone.. we use to get exposed to maybe a few hours a day of world news, now its 24/7 this place is flooding, these people are starving, someone shot up something in this country this has all been happening before but we paid less attention to it cause it was out of our control and not our problem, now we are "woke" and feel obligated to save the world when the cities around us are falling apart.

After being where I've been and seeing what I've seen, an isolated country will fall and fall quickly...we need to stand united with our allies and NATO is one vessel of which to do this...the UN used to have some teeth but has fallen off quite a bit. One thing the UN does well is provide humanitarian aid however they need to start doing this in conjunction with NATO as an off shoot and not the controlling entity.

With all things, we in North America are fortunate to have an ocean between us and the really desperate countries...if we shared a border or were in closer proximity to these nations, an entirely different scenario would be unfolding...

An old adage was founded long ago and it goes..."we either fight them there on their own soil or here on ours" I'd rather fight them there even though it gives them the "home team" advantage.

Remember those same "woke" people voted in the "woke" government and expect them to perform as advertised even if in many ways they don't want to. We have a government which spent north of $600 million on an election which gained them nothing.....this government will bankrupt this country if they are left unchecked....

When there are any natural disasters within Canada, the response is pretty decent (regardless if what is written). I have been to several natural disasters within Canada and have seen first hand what is being done...what disgusts me is the number of perfectly healthy, fit citizens sitting on their arses expecting others to do for them...if trees were down in my neighborhood, I'd be out with my chainsaw or whatever I had to help out but I've seen people watching through windows as a few soldiers were struggling to do a task.

Let’s have a sitrep…

City: Melbourne
State: Victoria
Country: Australia

Has now taken first place as the most locked down city in days globally
Has had a few weeks off and on with protests. Now had 3 in 3 days
(Go protest in my “democratic” city, risk arrest, fines, conviction, record, and assult by the police who are supposed to protect us)
Nurses and emergency workers advised to not wear work clothes in public
No work. Businesses shut or bankrupt.
The city and the cbd is a wasteland of empty shops
People now are now no longer friendly to each other
People are tired, exhausted, angry, fed up
Restricted to 10km radius from home
Need permits and paperwork to leave your home for “approved” work
State residents stuck over the border banned from returning to THEIR own friggin home. Now the have been given permission to return home, only if double vacced. Otherwise banned from crossing state lines to return home.
State govt making public health decisions based on political ideas
Chief health officer giving directions and controlling the populace - not a politician.
All decisions made in secret and refusing to release any backing as to why
Police shutting down public transport to stop people moving across the city.
Police firing tear gas and rubber projectiles at our own citizens.

State premier, (US equiv of governor) shutting down parliament to avoid any oversight, question time, answering to decisions made. (He’s from the far left socialist section)
Also, state premier blocking the media choppers from reporting on the protests. And requesting Facebook, Twitter, etc to block any live streams.
12 months ago, announced spent $1.3b on icu beds and equipment for the expected massive cases. Now stands in front of everyone and denies ever saying it… but it’s on public record..

We had a 5.6 mag earthquake this week
Only country in the world where they have banned all internal, cross border travel.
Banned from leaving the country without approved paperwork.
Can’t finish a12hr shift and go for a walk as curfew says otherwise.. can’t afford a fine and police record for being out after 21:00

I sold my car because I hadn’t driven it in over 12 months because I can’t go anywhere. First time since I was 18 that I don’t have a car. Haven’t been on the bike in a year, same reason

Lockdown expected to last at the earliest mid Nov. even then, no guarantee I can leave the city to head out to the bush to ride my bike.

Yep, I get it there are worse places in this world to exist. (Not live)
But this is what was once a great place, free, open. People talked to each other. We had lives and looked forward to the weekend. Now we’re squashed, depleted, compliant. Nothing to look forward to. Nothing to set our sights at.
Somebody somewhere sneezes and everyone panics and shuts down even tighter..

So, yeah, I’ve had enough. I now understand why people uprise. I get it.

For a pandemic so deadly that Ontario can terminate over 170 healthcare workers for not wanting to take part in a drug trial.

Of course last year, these same people were front line heroes. Clown World.
They were given clear direction and failed to comply..."hero" or not. There's a price to be paid for not complying with a job requirement.

The vaccine is not "a drug trial" contrary to what you and the others might think, time to get over this and get on with what's right.

Millions upon millions of doses have been administered and I have yet to see the stats on the negative impacts of the vaccine even though it has been administered for over a year.

People not getting the vaccine has allowed it to mutate and create these variants...however like was pointed out in another thread, the entire world would have had to been vaccinated and isolated in order for it to be effective and we all know this is not a possibility.

Sadly, Australia had the formula right but allowed foreign travel to continue, their only hope now is the vaccine.

We could talk this over until our computers run out of ink and I'm certain we will not convince each other of anything related to Covid or the vaccine....

So our friend Carl can't leave his home and hasn't drove his car or ride his bike in a year and even after his vaccine still can't and u say Australia had it right?? Firing people for refusing a vaccine that is new is far from ok especially when like was said they were heroes a year ago. I get it you were military and made to follow orders period but this is a person's job not the military so yes it should be a choice for them. You say it's not a drug trial and I don't know about Canada but I'm the US any channel on TV has multiple commercials about did you take this medication or have surgery done with this material 5,10,15 years ago if so your entitled to compensation. The majority of those things went thru a lot more testing then this vaccine has. And the reality is that if the vaccine does what it's supposed too then the people that need and want too take out and shouldn't have to worry about getting it and therefore shouldn't be worried about those who don't get it because they should be safe from taking their vaccine.
But like u said obviously not gonna agree on any of this.
