Hello

Thats really nice and seems to be verry close to that what i m looking for
clap.gif

I wil not (yet) mount the purge.(as the NOS is expensive and not so easy to get in Germany)

Some questions from a newbee :

Does the MPS-box substitute the PCII (dint see one)

Also i didnt see a WOT  (dont want it to shot , but as aditional "security" element)

You mounted the jet in the ram air , i would like it more were the flapper valve was.
(lifting the tank and airbox is quik done)
Does the mounting place have any influence on anything
would two smaller jets (one right, one left) make any difference ?

And a question concerning the "consumption" of this system. How often or how long
can you shoot with the 1.5 bottle ?

And :
How about your testrun ?

Not for my setup. I have no intentions of ever modifying the existing stock exhaust so there won't be a need for a PC.

No WOT switch. Want the ability to be "armed" and have the option to be at WOT without the juice, but yet hit it in the next gear if necessary. I also have safety concerns with the WOT switch. Preferance really.

jet in the ram air

No air box mod. I can deal with the loss of theorized HP gain by not doing that mod. Trying to stay as close to stock "form" as possible. IMO, the plate would be the way to go if you went that route. From what I've researched, its all about distribution when your spraying "BIG" shots. (Above a 36 pill) I'm planning on staying under the sound barrier so I kept it simple. Lots of info in here on mounting schemes.

Think I recall reading about 10 to 15 passes on a one and ahalf lbr. Have not ran a bottle through yet so can't tell ya for sure. I can say I've been using the purge (for the night effects) and I'm at about 25 or so burst hits and counting.

How about your testrun

Dry test run (w/o bottle) is a success. Between 7Krpm and 10.3Krpm when on the button the engines stumbles hard. No activation in 1st gear is a "go".
The recommended tuner is about a good 3 hour haul from me so I'm planning to make that trip in the next couple months or so. No "Holy Moses" update yet. But I'll tell you what, that there shift kit is the bomb! Can't even begin to fathom what it'll be like on nitrous.

Thanks for your reply

I also dont want a PC so i asked for it . So only the MPS will do the A/F Ratio.
i will shot on the Horn botton , because today i tryed both , and horn is for me "easyer" then starter to push while riding. The WOT will only give me
aditional security , cause i love my engine , and want protect her as much as possible.

Hello Falco

how does your system run ?

Like your proper work , and i hope soon to "copy" a bit :beerchug:

How does it feel on a short bike , and what jet are you running now.

greets

Haven't gotten it up for a tune yet. Looking for a tuner in the area that at least knows what an FI MPS box is without them wanting the instructions for it..lol
I did however, test it once in a third gear roll on. Bottle pressure at 925, it was undescribable. Felt like when I was 4 years old pedaling my BigWheel down the street for the first time and big brother comes running up from behind you (unexpectedly) and gives a big push. What a rush, it scared me Bahjeebers out of me bigtime, can't wait till it is a worry free process. Haven't run any more through the engine but that ONE time due to the fear of messing something up internally without that precious tune. I have been running bottles through the purge piece of the system..lol Seems like if I give the ol girl a purge or two at the line/light, no one seems to want to play with me, I get the head bob and them taking off like an old granny.. lol I just upgraded the plugs to CRE10s over this past weekend. Got my sites on a tuner but its a 3 to 4 hour haul from where I'm at now. I plan to get it all squared away soon, even if it means taking the trip to Knoxville.
I'm now debating on adding Smiths' new setup, ECU flashing with his Nitrous harness. Which will allow me to remove the MPS box, shiftkit kill box and window switch. I'll have to do the small airbox mod though which will lead to GixxRs' nitrous plate I'm sure. I'll still be able to keep my system wired the way it is now (button controls) and have all the additional features that his new system offers. I'm still working out the varabilites with him and in my own head. :banghead:
I'll keep you posted though if your interested.

Running a 38jet.

Dynoing will be easyer for me.
I have a good Suzuki-Dealer and Tuner (makes a lot of Suzuki Superbikes and was formerly official Suzuki-Germany-Superbike Tuner) only 20 miles away. He will run it on his Dyno with Lambdatester , so i can see wether everything workes fine.

Looking forward to your story......
nice writing...now i m scared too

cant you purge with a gotcha-bottle

?"gotcha-bottle"?. Like w/ my airshifter bottle? Yeah, i did this, but does'nt give the same affect with the red led alluminating the air. The whitish mist alluminated by the red led on the NOS is much more affective.

Out w/ the old; in w/ the new.
Absolutely the easiest install ever.
Recieved Smithabusa's' new ECU flasher and Nitrous harness a few days ago. Longest time spent was removing the old components (i.e..MPS FI box, window switch and a few relays). Quality and workmanship that went into designing and putting these kits together compares second to none. Tech support numer'O' uno!! Thanks Greg for your patience with my anticts and my hard headed thinking behind it all..lol
I've still have the system setup to function the same way it was initially designed to do but with an added ECU controlled throttle position switch, greater than 85% throttle (no hardware needed). The system is still armed by the same switches. It will not arm in 1st gear. RPM range must be within 6500 -10800. Throttle position must be greater than 85%. And the starter button activates the spray if the previous conditions are met.
I've used the map from "Gregs' wifes' bike" (<<funny>>) to flash my nitrous map as our bikes are setup the same way, outside of her slip-ons. This was done for testing a dry run of the setup. All activates and feels "good to go". I'm thinking to give it a one time "live" test before I hit the recommended tuner in the south area. Currently we're trying to track down a nitrous plate for up under the newly moded airbox for the fan nozzle mount, but outside of that its' complete.
For anyone considering a nitrous install or for those that wanna eliminate all that hardware and free up some space and wiring with their current setup; Gregs' ECU flashing kit and nitrous harness is definately the way to go to achieve just that IMHO.
Also a special thank you to GoldenChild for getting out the extra plumbing and hardware needed to complete this modified install, preciate ya!!

Last mod in dash area. Moved Gear Indicator, Launch and shift light over to the dashs' inner as circled. Did'nt quite get the 3rd led lined up the way I wanted, but I'll get a second stab at it as I have another on the way. Wanted to replace it anyhow as the gap the was left behind from relocating Gregs' box will bother the Jahebers' outta me. This idea was taken from a jent over at sh.org. Next go around I'll move them closer to the gap that will give it a smoother look and they will be alluminated at night ever so slightly by the instrument panel.

i used the pass button for my nos, but didnt fark with the wiring that was on it I instead cut off the 2 original wires and then soldered on my 2 new ones, you will find out why i did it that way when you start screwing with it....

lol.. Been there.. Yeah it was a pain to tap into it just right to keep it functioning as stock (the "FlashToPass" button). I've got mine setup with a DPDT three way switch, whereby the starter button and the FlashToPass button are on it. When arming the system by this switch, it toggles over the FlashToPass for the purge and the starter for nitrous with that one switch.
The horn button of coarse is for the manual ohh crap shift.

Great layout

older one seems to go around the globe
.............to the "old" world :thumbsup::thumbsup:

:beerchug:

On its way!! (Arrival - Tues or Wed) You've got mail. Talk with you soon. :beerchug:

Airbox Nitrous plate in enroute, thanks GixxR1300! Have a few questions on the pill placement and adheasive to secure the plate, but outside that, should be cake to install and complete.
Got an appointment out at Stedman Motorsports in Alabama in the morning next Wednesday to put her up on the dyno to get'r' mapped for both the engine and nitrous conditions. I'll post up the results when I get them in hand.

I use black silicone to adhere the plate to the airbox. The jet goes into the end of the fan spray nozzle.

Check & check... Was'nt sure if the jet would go before or after the 90 degree elbow; that answers that. Thank you Sir, you da man!!
