NOS LAYOUT

Nice Work Red Falco  Cant wait to see the #'s your beast layz down :beerchug:

TY... You and me both- I'm stoked - may boost up the plans and get'r'done on Monday if weather permits.
Took the week off work...

Airbox nitrous plate came in today!! Thanks GixxR1300 for the lighting fast ship!
:cheerleader:

Fit like a glove. I utilized a RTV High Temperature Silicone to adhere and seal it to the newly mod 'd' airbox (small) as recommended. Fan Spray direction is set towards the front of the bike as shown. I'm utilizing a 1/8 inch poly line from the solenoid to the 90 degree elbow up under the airbox. I ran the poly line through the unused vacum line that used to attach to the pair valve which was removed upon completion of the small airbox mod. This is done to prevent heat from the motor melting the poly line. (Thanks GoldenChild for that tip)
Took her out for a spin tonight and I must say, feels moe responsive in the mid rpm ranges with the airbox mod. Sounds throatier up under the tank too. Could'nt really tell any differance in the lower rpm ranges. No backfire at all so I recon the "marble mod" is not needed?
Come'on' Monday...Gotta feeling this weekend is gonna DRAG by...lol
Dyno results on next post!!
Peace out

Turn the Fan spray nozzles around so that it is pointing towards the velocity stacks

Crap!! :banghead:
Made a 50/50 guess on the direction of the spray; was thinking distribution would better. Figures I'd get it wrong...lol Thanks for looking out Gixx! Preciate ya.

looking good :) I just dropped my bike off at schnitz saturday, picking it up this saturday after a complete retune including the 50 shot, new exhaust, dual intakes, head porting, no base gasket, brock street meg, 55 psi fuel pressure, etc.

Hello Gixx

Does the different lenght of the rubber funnels have no influence on a evenly distribution of the NOS to the cylinders , if the spray goes direct in this direction ?

If you are talking about the nylon lines then yes. They all should be kept tha same length as much as possible.

Think B-12 is referring to having the plate in the bottom of the airbox (one line) with the nozzle pointing towards the stacks. And having the two inner rubber tubes taller than the two outter. How does the two taller affect distribution versus having them all the same height? Thought I read somewhere that it does'nt matter as the airfilter helps gate/spread the surge?? Will the two on the outside get less or more being that they are shorter?

Your bike.... Well, well.... We finally got you to admit the real story.. So when are you buying "the wife" her new 09? That is until you get your mitts on it.

Can't wait to see what kinda numbers that girl puts down. I'm assuming all your latest electronics will be onboard?

I dont have the first gear lockout box on it, but no need for that to tune it, its going on before too long though :)

I've seen that beauty, (lockout box), very nice. And no digging in the clutch basket to obtain the results, eazy cheezy; nice. I believe I'm covered with alittle of your past and present creations though, that is until you develop your hover kit this summer...lol

FYI... For the dry run:
Took your advice and reflashed the chip for the MS map on both fuel and ignition. Maximized MS map for the fuel as far as it would allow and also pulled out as much timing it would allow on the ignition MS map (In the 5.6k and 10.8k RPM range). Took it for another run up the road and I really felt the MS map kick in that time when I hit the starter button.. Wow..did I ever, now I know how those ZX14s' run...lol
So I'm now completely convinced I'm ready for the tuner.
Thanks again for all your tech guidence and support. Your a FIRST class gentleman and friend.

Just about got all the 87octane gas ran out of the tank and I filled up with 93 today. The trip to Alabama for the tune should have that tank ran out, so I'll be ready.

Thanks again Sir, your system and support is flawless!

thats it :cheerleader:

Will not capture your thread but "fits" for another question.

Can i spray first with the nozzle in ONE Ram-air (right side ,under the top fairing for quicker change of jets for tryout)

I know the hit will be softer with the longer way of the nitrous.
But will change A/F rate using the different "spraypoints" or are the results equal (same jetsize)?

Yes you can

Ohh.... Forgot to add the results.... Forgive me... Can't get this stuff outta my system!!!!
:laugh::whistle:

About a good 2.5 hour trip down. Got 36mpg on the way there cruizing at 75 to 80mph. The way back 47.5mpg. (Speeds unknown) Jay at Stedman Motorsports REALLY knows his tune. Smooth as silk, much more responsive all the way around.
Thought 4th gear would be a good start to test her new wings. Never in my wildest dreams would I of thought nitrous could be so violent. OH my GOD!! Did'nt think you would have to climb up on the tank to keep the front end down. Lifted the front end up about a good 3 feet on the first "stab". Was very unexpected, but I brought her down smooth and easy with the biggest grin I think I've ever had. It got allot easier as I knew what to expect. Man... This stuff is addictive, can't stop thinking about it.
Wanna thank Smithabusa, GoldenChild, GixxR and the Org for making this setup happen.
Hats off to you all :beerchug:
Thank you.

Okay, here we go... Think I can break 200 or did I already?

First the motor map after she got dialed in and then the nitrous map.

Holy Moly Batman... Who would of thought! Yup, just as you recommended, 2 degrees out within the MS rpm range (6K to 10.8K). He left the same on the dry run map we put together. Also I believe he kept your recommendation on 17 percent fuel enrichment too. Said it was better to be safer than sorry. And went on to say he could lean it just a tad bit more and get a couple more ponnies but would be questionable... Needless to say, I told him "We are good to go as is" and he agreed.
With the combination of ya'lls shift kit and all your electrical goodies its smooth power. Autoshifting through the gears brings the front down real smooth like. At times I don't realize the front is somewhat elevated until I let off the gas.

Also, I can be on the starter button from the get go and when I hit the rpm range....Whaaam... Its on! Let off the starter button still having full throttle to settle her down... Its all good... >85% throttle trigger works like a gem; when it was racking down from 11k rpms, I let off the throttle, pushing button repeatedly through the nitrous rpm range and nothing!! Wooowhooo... I love it.....
(I weigh in at 235, so I'm no small soul by no means...lol)
BTW.. He had a 38 funnel jet and thats what shes running with now. Said any more I would need engine work. i.e.. heavy duty valves, rods..etc.
