OBD2 Digital Speedometer Project

So here is the fitment of the one I listed above. I do have the double bubble so keep that in mind. No clue on function as the obd2 adapter came in wrong. Waiting on new adapter and an extension cable for the mini USB cable. We shall see if it works by labor day I hope.

Well!! That looks like it fits fantastic as is, angle looks pretty good too. I like how the circuit board actually will fit behind the screen to save height.

This one may be a better option overall.

So this is where I was talking about the water comes up through while riding in the rain. Not sure how much would actually get to where the speedo is but with the air it was enough to watch it bubble down there going 70mph. On a more positive note I'm running cables and mounting mine today.

So just got back from taking a spin out to "Mexico" got up to 135. A few annoying things I either have to deal with or figure out how to adjust in the menu. Has preset rpm stuff that goes of saying over Rev. 8k isn't over Rev. I do like it all abut the RPM limit thing.

Thanks for the dimensions and pics sir! The layout is MUCH more acceptable for this use than the one I have.

How's the view of the speedo from riding? You have the DB or touring installed?

Mine has the RPM limit as well and maxes out the same 8K. I was worried about the damn alarm and not being able to disable. I only did 1 ride, but I had the button press sounds turned off in the settings and did not notice any alarm when riding so give it a shot. My thinking was worse case, just cut the speaker off the circuit board or apply insulated tape over it.

I can't hear the beep. I have the DB installed. Hate the touring screen I bought.

Tested with OBD2 and GPS, both still work after the flash.

This actually fits fantastic. If I'd ran the cable when I had bike apart, I'd be set. No tape or anything needed. Have to print one in PETG and test out.

Perfect fit with the hybrid low profile ZG windscreen. Doesn't touch, doesn't block warning lights

Didn't test any faster, still getting a feel for the new swing arm and testing it.

Video of it in action, using the OBD2 speed. Mine defaults to GPS every time though, but lags in comparison although I'd assume more accurate.

Just a random ride to see how it holds up before I run the cable permanently

Its defaulting to GPS due to the OBDII fault after the flash. Mine does not work at all post flash. I hear them pops too man. Very quiet......

Mine always defaulted to one or the other prior to the flash, I just don't recall which one. I'll have to go back and read my posts in hopes I stated it, lol.

I forgot to mention, on this video I did hook up the external mic for this FauxPro. Does sound better, but no where near as it does in person. For the bangs anyways, the burbles and such are most definitely muted in person and can tell the sound is trapped in the pipe.

Fortunately they have a GPS version of mine. So another 50 bucks and I have another Speedo.

Edit just dropped coin. Will know by this weekend weather depending. Got storms on forcast almost every evening this week

Please keep us posted. I'd be curious to see if the updated will work with OBD2 as well. if so, I may be doing the same so I can move the screen front and center like your original one is setup. At least it wouldn't look near as awkward.

Hopefully it has free returns as well

I know it will now work with OBD2. It will be GPS only. The OBD2 doesnt function after flashtune. The one I ordered is same unit just GPS instead of OBD2. Not sure how the power is going to work but I will report back. I still have to hook up the autotune as well so right side fairing will be coming loose as well as a couple other pieces to get that done. One night this week will be a bike night.
