Ok picked up the harley today.

Lilah don't look to happy Rev

We'll lets just say she isn't thrilled... No shid, went out the other day and for the first time since March 2003, she wouldn't start for me... Yup battery was pretty flat, so it's prolly time for a new one cause I was just out riding her the other day...

So I would say she's pouting... he he he..

As a quick update? The Heritage Softail is certainly NOT, for me... While it does great and is super smooth in town poking around under 60 mph, Interstates are a drag. Lots of buffeting and vibration, and yeah it's felt in my teeth.

So thus far, the Heritage is not a keeper. Unless you just want to poke around at 50 mph on backroads or putter around town.

All of a sudden your Gay Rev. You could at least have got a Road King like mine. Gay, Gay, Gay, but then Sled told me about you months ago.

Don't give up the fight though. I have a female friend that goes by the title Hasbian instead of Lesbian.

I guess you could be called a hasbeengay if you come back to us.

nice stable. The Heritage is a sweet ride. Just please, please don't get the lame a$$ Harley attitude that so many have.

Funny, I don't feel gay, just a little silly... ;)

But then again, I didn't pay any money for that Softail in my Garage... How about you?

OK Here's an update. 200 miles, adn thigns have picked up quite a bit.

1st the motor seems to have loosened up quite a bit actually, seems to be reving better and making more power. Could be my imagination but it does feel a bit uh, more powerful.

OK Interstate Travel is NOT this Harley's reason for being. At 70 MPH it's a little outta breath and the Chassis is a bit bendy and twitchy. No, this bike is much happier on the backroads and in town rollin round up to about 60mph. THe Brakes are actually pretty decent and two fingers with a BIG squeeze can result in some fairly decent stopping.

Biggest revelation thus far? Getting rid of the Windscreen REALLY improved the bikes comfort for me, a whole lot less turbalance, and a lot less vibration in the handlebars at speed. I thought it was the Bike, turns out it's just the windscreen. Without it the ride is much improved.

Would I buy this bike.... Umm, NO! But is it a POS? No, it has it's place, and I can kinda understand the appeal, I am looking forward to the Street Rod though. Something with a better Chassis and brakes.

REV

I like it Smokin... Kinda has an old school feel to it. Something I do like was ALL the accessories and custom stuff you can get done to these things... TONS of stuff, it's just mind numbing...

If you ever get the chance to ride a full bagger, you'll get spoiled by the fairing. Plus you can crank up the tunes and cruise. Still don't have shid for top speed...maybe 107...but ohhh is it comfy. HD's weren't designed for speed, but they do have a bit of torque.

Dam I miss my Busa

Rev,
Wish I had a job like you, man! BTW, my first HD was a '95 FLSTC: modded the heck out of that thing and had lots of very good memories with that bike. I think you'll like the V-ROD better when you get it.
