On my way over to the convention center to welcome the 47th POTUS

I feel the same about open borders BTW.
When a society doesn’t protect their country and approve wide open borders, that society will cause the loss of their future children’s country.

Boggles my mind how this can possibly be of no concern to some.
A country without defined and controlled borders is not a secure country that's for sure.......

You believe a child has the wisdom to initiate a sex change? Something the child has to live with into adulthood and for the rest of their life?
No. I think parental approval should be required. I can’t begin to understand how a transgender feels. My gay friends all knew since they were young. We’ve discussed it at length. I’m talking absolutely certain. Transgender I’m not sure and not going to claim that I am.

All I can do here is shake my head.

That link is serious, it is 3 or 4 examples but 3 or 4 is enough proof that minors shouldn’t undergo surgery. What it doesn’t do is talk about the million lives that transitioning made happy. I know you don’t agree. I don’t understand what they feel like. Neither one of those things makes it fake for them.

Maybe we should talk about the building of the incoming cabinet.

This was about children and gender transition.

Very interesting.

You believe it is consistent with a tattoo not allowed until 18 years old, but changing gender is OK?

If that is what you meant, I promote you to group (1).
How many children do you know that went to school a boy and came home a girl? Probably about as many as had their pets eaten by illegals.

I used to work with a guy that left for Christmas break a man and came in after the holidays dressed in heels and a dress. He wasn't really all that handsome as a man and was butt ugly as a woman. A year later he had surgery to have his junk removed. I also worked directly with his half brother, who told me that when him and his buddies were playing with army figures, his brother was playing with dolls. He said that his brother was a woman in a mans body from a very early age.

My employer sent hundreds of us to classes (I can't remember what they called them) to learn how to deal with this person. It was very odd at the time, which was at least 25 years ago. I also have some younger friends whose daughter identifies as a man and it's pretty easy to see that she is much more masculine than many men.

Many years ago, I rented a house to a couple of women who I suspect were lesbians. I never asked them and didn't care. One day I needed to do something to the outside of the house and there was deep snow and I had forgotten my boots. One tenant told me to use her friends boots. I have size 11 feet and her boots fit me like they were my own boots. She was the one that worked at a local big box hardware store and always had a tape measure on her belt. They were also excellent tenants and I felt that they were so relieved to not be judged and discriminated against for who they were that they treated me well. One of my mentors in the rental property was a devout Christian who told me many times that he didn't rent to gays or people who were "fornicating". He was a real winner and I wonder if he ever got sued for discrimination.

I never judged any of these people for what they did. It isn't my business. Live and let live is the way I feel about it.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you are so insecure with your masculinity that you feel it may rub off on you.

I've had a few men hit on me over the years and never felt a need to beat them up for it. I handled it the same way as when women hit on me that I wasn't attracted to. Just kindly let them know that I wasn't interested.

Maybe we should analyze why you believe Democrats lost the election. I tried to explain that group (3) is on the right track, you suggested it is a hypothetical theory.

So what you you think went wrong?

This idea that our borders are "wide open" is another of trumps pathological lies that are also stock and trade of the right wing media. I own property near the US/Mexico border and travel to Mexico often in the winter months. And for close to ten years now, I've crossed the border dozens of times in both directions. And not much has changed except for the border wall looks different than it did ten years ago. I've always had to show my passport to come back into the USA. Used to be we just walked into Mexico like I was walking across the street in my Michigan hometown, but now we need to walk through their customs and my wife has to put her purse on the belt of an Xray machine, I suspect to check for handguns.

People have been skirting the border crossings for a very long time now and I doubt that this will ever change.

Also worth noting is that when the USA "bought" this strip of property from Mexico over 100 years ago, the USA had just taken a lot of property from Mexico by force and the feeling was that if Mexico didn't accept the offer, the USA would just take it from them. My property was in Mexico 150 or so years ago. The USA needed the strip of land to build a railroad and they got it. Some of these families that still live there are descendants of Mexican people that lived in Mexico and now live in the USA despite never having moved.

I have a feeling that some of the very anti gay folks think that being gay is contagious and are afraid that they may catch it. One of my brothers is a devout Christian and one time when I mentioned something about gays he went into a real odd bunch of machinations and gestures and was clearly grossed out by the whole gay thing. My feeling is that he spends too much time thinking about what gays do in their bedrooms, whereas I don't think about it and don't care what they do anymore than I think or care about what anyone hetero does in their bedrooms.

I think a bad lack of confidence in Harris. I also didn’t agree with the strategy of attacking Trump with almost every thought. Look where you want to go.
Facts aside, public sentiment about the current state are not good and that helped more in the Senate and House races. All my opinion, of course.
Keep in mind 3 of the last 5 elections were won by Democrats. It’s not quite the apocalypse you make it out to be.

There are several reasons Harris lost but one key factor was that she campaigned for just over a hundred DAYS. Her opponent, a very well known loud mouth has been campaigning for YEARS. He had a lot of time to woo his supporters.

Harris and Walz could campaign for 100 years, it makes no difference to their leadership competence and track records.
Anyway, that is my opinion, almost 70 million people would disagree with me. The question is, how many of those 70 million were really satisfied with Harris and Walz and their policies? How many were just NeverTrumpers?

So you would be in group (1)? It's Biden's fault? He should have quit sooner?

Biden is old. So is Trump but maybe with the right team something good might happen. Besides, the person to which advanced age is happening to may be the last to see it. You want to assign fault? It’s like when your team wins the Super Bowl. That’s all you want to talk about for weeks. We can discuss why but why not look forward? I say with bureaucratic binds removed, what can the 3 branches of the government achieve? Aren’t you curious?

You forgot group 4, us independent voters, some went one way, some the other. I voted for the person not the issues as I think they both will flip flop or wrong on different matters. Harris picked the wrong VP running mate. I’m taking a wait and see attitude about Trump, and hopefully I was wrong.

“Harris and Walz could campaign for 100 years, it makes no difference to their leadership competence and track records.”

No shiite sherlock.

“The question is, how many of those 70 million were really satisfied with Harris and Walz and their policies? How many were just NeverTrumpers?”

Why is that the question? I wasn’t satisfied with them either. Mickey Mouse (the actual cartoon character) would be preferred over that lying crooked low life SOB.

And Biden’s fault? Not unless he’s to blame for having diminished capacity, also a trait of trump by the way.

So what’s this group (1)? How many groups are there in your mind?

Group 1 = pointing fingers at each other, who's fault it was.
Group 2 = WTF just happened?
Group 3 = Mmm, maybe we need to look at ourselves and what the voters really wanted? Maybe we should look at change, so at least we have a chance to win the next election? Maybe we should learn to be MODERATE?
We have a group 4 now, = sitting on the fence and voting for the person we like most. Perhaps that can be grouped into group 3, change and pick different candidates next time.

If we only look forward, maybe there is no point in elections 2028, because if the Democrats don't join group 3, do some soul searching, look at their leadership, look at their policies, they may never have a President Elect in the future.

You see, I care about you, Wuzza, and the Old Guy, at least I hope y'all have a chance next time around.

Typical liberal deceit, to cut out words and twist what people meant.

lol you really are sold or have convinced yourself this was a landslide victory. I don’t remember anyone calling 2020 a landslide victory, and looking at the popular vote numbers, this wasn’t one either. Your giddiness is actually getting the better of your analytics, and that’s somewhat surprising.
I suppose I need to remind you again who won 3 of the last 5 elections, and that the Senate and House races were close. Or maybe not, you seem to get that Zerks selective memory lately.
Who knows , maybe the Dems will nominate George Clooney in ‘28, ala Ronald Reagan.

If you were an athlete, you would know 2nd is never good enough.

I was an athlete when younger. Pretty good sprinter in high school and wrestled as a sophomore in college. Lots of baseball and pickup basketball after. Second sucked, but not as bad as not trying my best. I had almost zero say in the Democrats not foreseeing Biden losing mental capacity before the primaries, same as the influence you had in Lex Luthor being the Republican candidate. We all deal with defeat at some point. I dug up your The Election is Over thread because you handled defeat like a man. Victory, you’re not so good at.
