It looks like the absentee ballots are kind of changing the story on the "HUGE" trump "landslide". As in he didn't even garner half of the votes that were cast.
If you figure in the votes for Kennedy and Jill Stein, he received less than 50% of the popular votes.
"Trump’s popular-vote advantage has declined steadily since election night. As of Monday afternoon, Trump was at
49.94, while Harris was at
48.26, according to the authoritative Cook Political Report’s tracking of results from official sources in states across the country. And we can expect that the Republican’s total will only continue to tick downward as heavily Democratic states on the west coast finalize their vote tallies."
And of all the hoopla about this win is a little overblown when you consider this:
"Over the weekend, as California, Oregon, Washington, and other western states moved closer to completing their counts, Trump’s percentage of the popular vote fell below 50 percent. And his margin of victory looks to be much smaller than initially anticipated. In fact, of all the 59 presidential elections since the nation’s founding, it appears that—after all of the 2024 votes are counted—only five popular vote winners in history will have prevailed by smaller percentage margins than Trump."
He did win, but not with the numbers that many would have you believe. Both of these quotes came from "The Nation".
So much for the mandate.
Now on to confirming the kooks that he has nominated. What a bunch of perverts. But that shouldn't surprise anyone that has seen this video of the orange man:
I'm seeing that there are proposals to raise social security age to 67 from 62 for reduced social security and 69 for full SS. I hope the suckers that voted for him like that part.
