On my way over to the convention center to welcome the 47th POTUS

IMHO, people in high profile positions should be smart enough to stay out of trouble, and avoid getting blamed for sexual conduct.

I can only speak to personal experience from working at a high leadership level in the Fortune 10 environment.

Lots of competition, people competing for promotions, lots of bad politics.

When we promoted a new recruit at HO, senior level, we warned them to stay away from strip clubs, take their wives with when going to a bar and even suggesting that if they are alone in an elevator, and a women enters, to get out and wait for the next stop.

I had a colleague, who took his QA manager to dinner with major clients. After he left, one of the clients tried his luck with her, she started a case against her manager, who was not even present, when this happened. She claimed he set her up purposely, which was not true. He got transferred, to a position in Egypt.

Most large public companies, would fire, even if the relationship was consensual. Even if it is the CEO.
Things work differently in the military from industry where troops often work closely to their leadership...

We went through all the training and seminars on sexual and work place harassment.........however these instances still happen...

Before I retired it got to a point where a subordinate female propositions a senior leader and if rejected fabricates a story.....even if the senior leader is found not guilty, their career is finished.....

I watched the careers of two respected generals I worked with get accused, found not guilty and then have their careers end as a result.....the accusation followed them regardless of the outcome....

It’s a real quandary as we also have to protect the rights of the defenseless victim of legitimate sexual attacks. It might be me but in this conversation I feel more concern for the accused than the alleged victim.

Ask Bee how they do it in the Middle East.
Among other things, if you end up next to a lady on a plane, they re-seat you.

That’s not the answer but a lot of things aren’t. It’s an extremely touchy, sensitive issue of society. It shouldn’t tilt the resolve but the accused do get a chance to defend themselves while the rape victims don’t get that chance. A major obstacle is like Bee mentioned, sometimes the accused is acquitted but career and reputation take a hit.

Besides your obvious braggadocious demeanor (again) with the ‘high leadership level in a fortune 10 environment’ comment you’ve also adopted the former VPs stance on how to act around women which is apparently, not at all.

Just imagine folks, the kind of mindset one has to have to actually (advise) a senior level employee to get out of an elevator if a female got in and another male wasn’t present.
Hi. Yes but we are not all biolgist. So most men will not even know what to do.as they will not even know what a woman is! I am not a veterinary, but I know what a dog is. Then again I may he wrong?
