That's why I never lend money. I'll put their bike on my trailer, give them a ride, let them stay in my hotel room, feed them, let them crash at the house, give them money. But if they need a loan, they need to go to the bank.

Don't sugar coat your request. Give everyone the details of the transaction, and the name of the person involved and let each member decide what action to take, if any.
If we know all the facts, we can help. If there is some mystery why an alleged good person isn't paying up, maybe he has a good reason. We don't know.

Ive tried to help out people in the past, The majority of time all turns out well, But then theres always that one person who makes you wonder why you do it. I know most people dont do it on purpose, They take the money with all the intensions of paying it back and then when they cant they try to ignore you rather than trying to work it out, Pay it back a little at a time, Give up the Cigs and the Beer and pay back what someone generously loaned you when you were in need.

yea, but probably not with the bad business decisions that i made during the transaction. i actually have no proof that the dude owes me anything at all, a very costly mistake that i will never make again.
