I just came across this post! And like gixxerhp my first thoughts were of takeuon! Then a few pages later I was correct! Sleeper I wish bryan would do the right thing and pay up. But if he hasnt been up front with you for a year.... My bet is he isnt going to pay up. I had a guy steal my from me like that never to return etc. It does put a bad taste in your mouth. Again I wish you luck! Hope to ride with you sometime!
Can't serve someone you can't find and dosen't sound like Sleepless could possibly win a judgement against him anyway.
I learned a few years back that when I lend money to do it with the assumption that I will not ever get it back. Sometimes i get it back sometimes I don't. It does make me stop and think to make sure that I can afford to lose it all together before I give it out. I really hope your able to resolve this. I do think outing him is the right thing to do just in case he was to be talking with another member maybe trying to the same thing to them as he has done to you.
Things like this don't make me regret being kind hearted, they just taught me to think a little more.

I thought it's time to out him. It's been over a year. Like what you've said, it's not gonna make me regret being kind hearted, either. I just really have to think a little more next time.

Sorry for the late reply Blanca. Not the same guy I am sure. The guy I am speaking of is not far from me. I got my money but lost a great friend over it. If I had it to do over I might just have let it go but then again a true friend would have never done that.

sorry to hear about your loss red. this place IS a great place. it stinks ppl can be like that. i have been taken a few times, but i learned a hard lesson. however i will do whatever i can to help here.
hell cap helped me out in a bind when i went to one of his meet n greets. he bought me a tire! then everyone helped me get it put on that night after the ride. i paid him back the next day. i really really hope he has another meet n greet this year. if i land a better job ill be making a track day or 2 at hallett.
good luck with getting the money back, but unfortunately he will probably never pay it back and the more you think about it the more it will piss you off. i know when i lost 1200 over an engine, thats how it worked for me. i tried calling the police, but all you get is the runaroound. hell they wouldnt even come out and do a report when my 6k quad got stolen. they could care less. they were too busy with some vandelism case.... someone ripped a paper towl dispenser off the wall...wtf.

crap news for sure and you appear to be a very patient and giving person. maybe by chance Takeuon will settle his debt to you and put this behind him. i hate to read about members getting burned here. i've seen them come and seen them go but very few leave themselves with a bad name.
