a good trick to cleaning up the hole if you bugger it up cutting it is use some thin rubber hose and cut it length wise then line the hole with it. cleans it up nicely, i kinda screwed up my cbrF2 back in the day and this worked great

Before I did the mod,I was concerned that the hole would need some sort of trim as you suggest, but the cut ended up being so clean I thought that trim would just draw more attention to it.

Put a dab of clear fingernail polish on the edge of the cutout to keep the paint from flaking !!!!!

Do any of you know what/where is the "pinch" bolt? I did one side of mine last night and noticed the motor mount bolt was kind of hard to get off and on. Anyway, I forgot to look up the torque specs for this bold before I put it back on. I check the boards and someone posted:
************************************************************
40lbs on each engine bolt, use blue loc-tite.
25lbs on the pinch bolt, use blue loc-tite.
************************************************************

They went on to say you’d get a false reading if you didn’t loosen the pinch bolt. I know I torqued mine down way too hard. It’s a wonder I didn’t strip the threads. Also, what’s the difference between red and blue loc-tite? I have the red but didn’t put it on. I couldn’t see needing any with all the ass I put no the torque wrench.

1st i gotta say thats a clean install -the work is top shelf-
but i work in a shop and i have yet to see a set of frame sliders do a bit of good saving a bike in a crash--plastics still get trashed-frame still gets scratched-and most the time the sliders cause more damage just cause they were there-i could see using them as a sort of "brake" to slow the bike down in a crash but your bar ends are doing the same thing ---thats my 2 cents -

In a crash situation, I'd have to agree with you, lot boy. Not much protection there. However, in a low or no-speed drop, the sliders should help. I dropped mine while moving it in my garage! If I'd had sliders I wouldn't have the scratches that I now have on the bodywork.
