Pics of Women : Random Thoughts

I have never replied to this discussion, but here's my $.02. Don't think anyone here, including me, dislikes women or seeing women. This site was always run with the family concept and the notion that it could be shown at work without any problems. It is also an equal opportunity site that doesn't want to offend any of the members, women in this case. While there is nothing wrong with a woman in a bikini posing next to a bike (believe me there isn't and I love to see them), it generally turns to who can post the best lookin' or most scantily dressed beautiful woman which can get some people in trouble or send the wrong message to the family.
No one is saying its wrong, but not something to be displayed here. I think the value of this site is worth much more than a desire to see woman and bikes together. Sometimes everyone gets punished because of the actions of a few and that's unfortunate, but that is the rule that has been set here and there are other places to get that fix.
I think there are other issues here that need to be resolved, but believe they will be fixed in time also. Bottom line, this is Captain's and Cache's site and we are all just lucky that it has remained! If you have a problem with that you know what you can do!

I'm not going to perpetuate this forever, but wanted to reply to this post. If it were up to me, the Smack Shack would have been zapped long ago and this isn't the first time I've said so on the board. I know there are other problems, but most of them are not things I can do anything about as a mod. The lack of respect for fellow female members is something I can do something about.BulletTrain I didn't say to suit my desires........dayaum look at the majority, IM against anything that is porn....geeezBut this board has more then just bike issues and woman.....Smack Shack is a good example......thats why we have quote Random Thoughts....putting a pretty face on pic...or even more look at the two pictures I just put up.....you saying that is offensive....geeez if that is you need to take the bottle out of the mouth and grow up.....tell me what wrong with those pictures.....

And no, you didn't literally say change it to suit your desires, but you are complaining because you don't see anything wrong with what the rules don't permit. Six in one hand, half dozen in the other. Same thing... You don't see anything wrong with posting girl pics *as long as you deem them appropriate* so it should be ok and I'm in the wrong for enforcing rules that were here long before you were just because you don't see the wrong in them. I'm not tryin' to be a jerk about this, but that's the only way I know to take your comments in this thread.
As for others with the same feelings, as Captain said, this site isn't for everyone. If this site is ruined for you or anyone else simply because it doesn't allow pictures of hot chicks then maybe other sites will be more to your liking and serve you better.
I honestly don't see the gripe here. There are literally thousands, if not millions of sites on the internet where you can look at pics of hot girls and you're on about not being able to post them here? Come on man. Does not having the ability to paste girlie pics up in here like a highschool boy does in his bedroom really spoil this site for you?
And I never said any of the pics posted were offensive to me. I simply said they are against the rules and the very fiber of this community as it stands. You can make cheap shot remarks about me growin' up all you want. I expected no less.

Let's just all take a look at this situation real quick and just throw it down on the table... Creekboy I do not have time to send out PM's or notices to every member that violates a board rule... I have a fulltime job that requires well over 40 hours a week, I have 2 boys that need my attention and rightfully so and then there is my awesome wife of 16 years that I dont get to spend enough time with... There are roughly 1,000 new messages on this board every day.... EVERY DAY, I typically look at the ones that catch my attention because of the subject line or I get a PM or email from a member or moderator questioning a specific thread. If I see something that goes against what I determine to be inappropriate, I zap it right there, if I have the time I will shoot the member a PM and tell them I have removed it and its a done deal.. Sometimes I just delete it and move on, your all big boys and can figure out if something is missing where it went..... I have moderators that read the site and if they run across something they determine to be inappropriate they deal with it. I do not question the mods nor do I reverse what they have done... I have empowered them because I TRUST their judgement.... most of the mods have been around for over 4 years and know what I expect and my vision for this place. This is not the first topic that has been locked, I doubt it will be the last, its definately not the first hot chick thread I can tell you with certainty that when one of these threads starts where it will end, someone ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS goes across the line... Its as good as knowing the sun is comign up in the morning, we are all human and push the limits... Now lets take a look at the image that I deleted and the reason for the lock so we can all see why action was taken..... tell me what the intent of this picture is for, her beautiful eyes, her smile, I dont think so... You tell me why this picture was put up if not for the seductive pose... It's not even a friggin hayabusa.

I joined this site (initially) because I was going to purchase a Busa, and wanted to learn more. I STAYED here because of the way the site was run.
There are other sites out there that permit edgy stuff. We all know were they are. And if that is what you are looking for...you know where to find it.
But it is not what THIS site is about, and I like it.
I view this as a "pure" motorcycle site. If I want to see a naked woman...I look at my beautiful wife. I am here to talk to like minded people about my passion; MOTORCYCLES. Specifically, the Busa.
I, like most here, love to look at a beautiful woman. But it is not why I log on here.
Cap; Stay the course. We don't need naked pics. Not here.

This is such a lame thing to worry about, for fugs sake it's a motorcycle Board... Why the hell do we need ANY pics of women on this board?
It doesn't make any sense. Especially when it's just random women picked off the web. I mean if it's someone you actually know, and it's relevent then fine, but just slapping up random images is pretty damned silly.
Creek if you need some good links to some sites with lots of hot women, let me know. There are much better places than this to see Hootie-Hoos!!!

First of all I never said I wanted to look at Nekkid woman....get that thought out of your folks mind. My complaint is what is pornographic and what isnt. So Revilis Im not into the porn thing...Ill save them for you bro.....so stuff it...lol Now about the picture captain you posted, I would agree that the picture is pushing the envelope but there was a hell of alot of pictures that don't nor went that far. And if this was such a big thing then why didn't you Captain or Cache stop in from the get go instead of letting it continue for as long as you did. It just seems like people are making a mountain out of a mole hill. IM NOT INTO THE PORN THING AND THOSE WHO ARE MOVE ON......my point has been that I believe for the most part the pictures posted where not pornographic material....and secondly why didn't you address the people who put things up that was pushing the nude thing to warn them or even go as far as to post on the thread or a new thread if the issue continued that the forum would be stopped and locked, and this would not be tolerated, but instead it was poooooooff....and gone and then when I posted a couple of people full dressed that got poooooffffed to me that was BS.....IM all for a respectable site, but I have the right to add my opinions to this board just as much as anyone else.....You may own the board and Cache may run it ...but the bottom line is the PEOPLE make this board......period!

Precisely, and the people that don't like the way it is run are free to leave at any time, to seek a place more in line with their way of thinking, or they may stay and enjoy the site as it exists, edited and censored at the discretion of the owner and his appointees.
Bottom line Mick, if you don't like it, leave. This is not a democracy, never has been. It is a private domain, run by the owner. In much the same way as you have the right to paint your bike the way you wish, regardless of who may like it or not, this site can (and apparently will) be regulated in a manner you disapprove of. Having voiced your discontent, either move on from the issue, or move on from the site. Continuing to complain about it serves no purpose, it's not gonna change.

To the powers that be, I suppose it is. I see your point, but I think that's a little different....
How is it different, If my daugther walked in here right now and seen that picture she would be offended likewise my wife....the outcome is the same....there is no difference. If this board will accept this then what will they tolerate down the road and accept....Ive always said what one generation will tolerate the next will accept....you either stand up for what is right and do what is the right thing, or your straddle the fence and play both sides..and if that be then theres a serious accoutablilty in your leadership.....thanks for the imput...
