Why is it so hard to belive that Suzuki managed to improve it's design with each generation?
Just because an improvement is small...doesn't mean it's not an improvement.
If you got it right to begin with; why do people complain when you update it, and want it completely new?
Then it's only the same name...and that will be the next complaint.

I dont know, ask why Volkswagen lied to people and the governments for years more then once and risked their reputation hahahaha. I like the gen 3 it grew on me and definitely looks the best and needed a more modern look and features, but I feel they strayed from the hyper bike persona they built.

We swing back to why Suzuki would underrate the hp and overrate the weight....it makes no sense...

It makes sense that it would have a slight upgrade to aerodynamics over the other bikes...I know Euro 5 choked it off as did Euro 3 with the gen 2.

I'd imagine the ECU flash will do the same for the gen 3 as it did with the gen 2.

There were several Gen3 at the UK standing mile today

214mph was with a Gen2 turbo

Considering the different markets and requirements for each, I'd hazard a guess that at least one of them has a Gen 3 that is sold at the advertised weight and the same or another market has a very restricted ECU with the advertised HP (this is not an original thought)

What were the stock Gen-2’s running? Are results posted?

When you say stock virtually most Gen2 are modified like exhaust mods at least

Gen2 I know from some mates
171 exhaust mod and 1st on strip 190 mapped experienced 178 stock apart from exhaust experienced 187 mapped and experience 165 (205hp 1st time On strip wind put him off

Here are some results by 1;00 pm there must be a final list at end of the day but I cannot locate
but does not say whether Gen1 , 2 or 3 or turbo

So it seems like 177 in headwind is still good going , the mapped Gen2 had more power so got into the 180mph +

I just wish the wind was better. I think most of you would be shocked how brutal it was yet the Gen-3 was smooth as can be through it all.

I live by the ocean in New Bedford Ma I was riding my bike at the start of a hurricane to take his 51 ft sail boat out, so it would not wreak on the dock. We brought it out on the harbor and angered it and stad on board until the storm pass we would do that in every wind storm.

I disagree on stock bikes. The Gen-3 will jump out and the Gen-2 will never catch up and once they hit the 186 cut that’s where they will stay.

Love that there are still some old timers around here.
