Place your bets….TOP SPEED!

Does the ECTA have correction factors for wind, or is it just averaged out in both directions?

Also we're there any other Gen3's at this meet?
No, definitely not. No sanctioning body does wind correction and ECTA doesn’t run a two way average. It would have been great if they did, it was 13-15 MPH headwind on Friday and 20-25+ on Saturday. No other Gen-3’s.

I disagree on stock bikes. The Gen-3 will jump out and the Gen-2 will never catch up and once they hit the 186 cut that’s where they will stay.
In hindsight, that makes sense...

The gen 3 quick shifter and mid range tuning gives it the advantage. I'd say the aero is very close between the three generations.

I have confidence Suzuki is not lying about the Gen 3. Improving aeros by lets say 5% (just a guess) is a huge improvement. However, to your point, in real world performance or top speed it may make a barely noticeable difference.

The above video also shows the computer is introducing the limiter at a slightly lower top speed.

My Gen 1 had hit 194 on a gps. Was derestricted. I weighed "only" 225 at the time and had the basic "mods" (exhaust, filter, etc.). I never opened the engine. Thats was at 2-3 miles wide open throttle. 180s came kinda quick but after that it starter crawling faster. Btw - it was a long time ago and statute of limitations have passes. lol. I only did that once.

I find it refreshing that Hayabusa bikes are still relevant after 23 yrs...it's nice to see the newest version still representing the brand.

Wouldn't the best way to figure out which is more aerodynamic would be all with equal hp? I have a feeling the gen 1 is the most aerodynamic but I'm no engineer, just comparing it to land speed bikes.

All the reviews say the gen 2 is more slippery than a gen 1 and a gen 3 is more slippery than a gen 2..

By how much is the question but I'd wager it's almost not much.

Sales pitch?

Why go to all the effort?
Lie and risk their reputation?
Why is it so hard to belive that Suzuki managed to improve it's design with each generation?
Just because an improvement is small...doesn't mean it's not an improvement.
If you got it right to begin with; why do people complain when you update it, and want it completely new?
Then it's only the same name...and that will be the next complaint.
