Place your bets….TOP SPEED!

Weight by itself shouldn’t be an issue for top speed but for speed to distance (heavy stock cans for example) weight will be limiting. Some LSR rockets are heavy as hell but they’ve got miles to get to speed. If a stock 99 Hayabusa made 194 as advertised, I wonder what distance was covered to attain that speed.

Using a BMW Navigator IV for GPS top speed, Gen 3 with full Akra, no hump, mirrors closed, Suzuki touring screen (+40mm or 1.6in taller), 190/55-17 rear tyre, 98 RON premium gas (Europe), level road, no wind, 3km (1.9 mi) stretch, Shoei X-Spirit III helmet, rider weight 198 lb, maxed at 308.6 kph or 191.8 mph fully tucked. If more space was available my perception is that it would go a smidge faster.

I imagine the hump fitted would add something.
A true 191.8 is still a respectable speed to me.

Beautiful day, let’s hope the wind doesn’t get crazy this weekend!

Suzuki and Bennetts announce Busa Bonanza

@Got-Busa?
does the bike have aftermarket akrapovich with the extra 4 hp?
No, this is a completely stock bike. I wanted to baseline it before I added any mods.

I think people will be surprised once the wind drops how good the Gen-3 runs. It definitely feels more aerodynamic over my Gen-2. After 160-180+ is really where these bikes shine.
