Hi. Last year a ZX14 with an ECU flash, pipe and air filter mods went 198 to199 at Loring. No matter what he did many runs could not get it to 200.Well done!

i guess the wider body fairing keeps part of the legs out of the breeze.
Sharp edges?GEN I’s are king for slipperiness. How could any of you think that the sharp edges of the new GEN II OR III are more aerodynamic?
Could be just marketing to sell Gen3sSharp edges?
When I think of a Hayabusa, the words "sharp edges" don't come to mind.
Suzuki uses a wind tunnel to test their bikes...if they say the gen 2 is more aerodynamic than a gen 1 and the gen 3 is more aerodynamic than a gen 1 or 2, I would guess they would know.
Could be....a few things don't add up in my opinion..Could be just marketing to sell Gen3s
Hi. As we saw the Gen 3 could not even break in the 180's. Wind does have a big factor in to top speed, so let's see what it can do on a good day. What was the official top speed of the Gen 1 was it 194 and under what conditions was it set. Did any pririve person come close to that, that they set on a track?Could be....a few things don't add up in my opinion..
Suzuki has launched the gen 3 Hayabusa as the best version yet (their words) however, we see discrepancies in weights and hp figures they have released...hp as being lower than what it is and weight higher...
II would have thought Suzuki would have been really careful how they presented this bike and not give out incorrect hp and weight figures-especially ones that made the bike (on paper) seem less capable.
Suzuki boasted when the gen 1 was launched...they didn't underrate the hp or overrate the weight....Hi. As we saw the Gen 3 could not even break in the 180's. Hate to burst your bubble but you’re 100% wrong on this. That’s not how aerodynamics work…GEN I’s are king for slipperiness. How could any of you think that the sharp edges of the new GEN II OR III are more aerodynamic?
Still waiting for 190mph + speedsHate to burst your bubble but you’re 100% wrong on this. That’s not how aerodynamics work…
Don’t be confused by all out top speed and 1-mile acceleration which is what this testing was.Hi. As we saw the Gen 3 could not even break in the 180's. I think the aero of the other generations are on par with the gen 3.Also, it ran less than 2MPH slower than my Gen-2 that ran in little to no wind conditions. These runs were 13-15MPH HEADWIND which is the real data here. No doubt in my mind the Gen-3 has better aero. It’s a combination of front fender and the real game change is the tail section. The air transition over the rider IMO is where the gains are.
Congrats. Thanks for posting and letting us watch via the forum.Either way, happy or sad about the bad weather conditions….I was still able to put almost 10-mph on the Production Class record P/P-1350-4. The Hayabusa is still putting up the numbers at the end of the day and it will only get FASTER guys!

Yes but I never got it high enough to verify. I’ll do some other runs when I get home.Awesome job this weekend Josh, so we're you using Smithabusa harness for remove top speed limiter?
I disagree on stock bikes. The Gen-3 will jump out and the Gen-2 will never catch up and once they hit the 186 cut that’s where they will stay.I think the aero of the other generations are on par with the gen 3.
Remember the gen 3 is set up and tuned for mid range acceleration...that's where it is picking up the extra speed.
Put all three generations on a long enough track and the gen 2 will most likely walk away given enough distance.
Does the ECTA have correction factors for wind, or is it just averaged out in both directions?Either way, happy or sad about the bad weather conditions….I was still able to put almost 10-mph on the Production Class record P/P-1350-4.
