Professor, That is what I was riding in, and it just seemed like the hot air blowing through the jacket wasn't even cooling me down. Maybe I need to pick up the speed?

They are hot at stop lights, but not bad riding. I have 3 but one has way more protection.

You still need to hydrate with them!

I'll be teaching a class this weekend and I'll get rid of it during the actual class. The pavement (controlled area) is usually 30 degrees hotter than the air temp.

Lot's of concrete to soak up and radiate the heat.

What I wear thats proven to be great (for me)..I wear an underarmour heat gear long sleeve under my perforated leather jacket. I also keep a t-shirt in the tank bag so I'm not walking around like mr. cool guy in a skin tight shirt :) I sweat but the air movement through the jacket is amazing and keeps me cool even on the worst day. The trick is I can't stop because then its just unbearable.

I actually wear a Speed and Strength perforated jacket that the liner is like underarmor. Its SUPER COOL (literally :D)

Not for me I ride full gear regardless of the heat. I would rather be extremely hot than have road rash.

+1000...the HEAT from the road rash/gashes/cuts/wounds is way worse. Speaking for the Navy (and USMC), a member can be held liable if proper PPE was NOT worn when the rider was in an accident.

Well i'll be honest:whistle: You can give me crap but i've been down before, i know how it feels
So, hot weather if its a long ride/highwayish speeds i will have my jacket, helmet gloves (i wear boots and jeans everyday anyway) Just out cruising or in traffic(slow moving traffic) Helmet, gloves and boots/jeans

I actually ordered a icon regulator vest hoping it comes in tomorrow to atleast give me some leather on my mass and not just a tshirt. I cant deal with heat, go down south to my parents part of town alot and hit the cruises and car shows with my brother and walking around on 90* days with a jacket is not happening, figure the vest will help me out some

I've never had a issue with my head getting real hot or sweaty, could be the 9000 vents my arai has, i wont ride without my helmet and gloves everyone out here seems to have it backwards, saw a guy yesterday on a cbr with astar boots, a zip together leather suit, zipped together mind you, astar full length gloves and......sunglasses while his helmet was hanging off the side of the tail:poke:

After my two accidents I never ride without my PPE. It can feel like a sauna in my jacket but I rather sweat then have road rash. I don't even wear a mesh jacket, I wear a leather jacket. Road rash does not feel good.

Sweat washes off Road Rash doesn't!

I have a Tourmaster Air Intake II jacket that works quite well in South Florida summers.
I just wet my t shirt I have on underneath it as often as I can. Keeps me cool.
A wet shirt under mesh jacket feels great even on the hottest day.
Jacket is very well made and has two liners which I've used in thirty degree weather.

I got a lot of crap for riding in a one piece leather suit every day, no matter how hot, while living in the central valley of CA. Rode from Fresno to Lemoore almost every day of the year.
Dress for the crash and you will enjoy the ride!

That's what I wear as well in all black, I even have some gloves that match with strategically placed vents.

I have this jacket, hope you enjoy it.

Not gonna lie, and I know better. You can catch me around town in tee shirt, jeans, boots, and helmet. Trips out of town; add mesh jacket.

Just got Joe rocket 5.0 mesh jacket. I can believe Tue difference it made. Mesh gloves and a cooling vest helps also.

For $500 I can get awesome new gear or pay my deductable to my health insurance..

The hard part is I don't have the deductable if I don't go down..

been said many times before but gonna say it again here:
Dress for the SLIDE....not the RIDE!

You wanted honest, I will tell you what works for me. I wear leather year round. I get too hot in mesh because it allows me to dry out when I am moving. Leather keeps the hot air from blowing on me and drying out my sweat. Lets face it, a hot hair dryer blowing in your face it still hot air. Leather keeps the sun off of me and keeps me from drying out.

I wear a full-face helmet, textile jacket with vents, gauntlet leather gloves, jeans, and over the ankle riding boots. That's pretty much all I ever wear as far a gear. And yes, I know the jeans don't count as "gear."

If it's too hot to ride comfortably in that stuff, then I'm takin' the car. It gets better gas mileage than the bike anyway.

Here in AZ it gets over 110, there are times (just going to the store) where I will skip the jacket but not very often, it makes me feel naked. I wear underarmor and a mesh jacket and summer mesh gloves.

+1 I too wear a mesh jacket when it's hot out. I can't ride comfortably or as agressive as I'd like to if I didn't have a jacket on. I don't like the feeling of the grips without gloves either. I feel like I have no control that way.

When I'm riding on base; I'll wear a long-sleeve under armour, tee-shirt, jeans, gloves and full-face helmet. The speed limit is 25mph, so there's not much movement going on.
